Trump charged in Mar-a-Lago classified documents investigation
Former president Donald Trump said Thursday night that he’s been charged by the Justice Department in connection with the discovery that hundreds of classified documents were taken to his Mar-a-Lago home after he left the White House — a seismic event in the nation’s political and legal history.
Several Trump advisers confirmed the charges. Trump, who is the frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, said he has been summoned to appear in federal court in Miami on Tuesday at 3 p.m. A seven-count indictment has been filed in federal court naming the former president as a criminal defendant, according to people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe a case that has yet to be unsealed.
Trump indicted in classified documents probe
The charges include illegal retention of government secrets, obstruction of justice and conspiracy, according to people familiar with the matter. It is the second time Trump has been criminally charged since March, when he was indicted in state court in New York on 34 counts of falsifying business records related to hush-money payments from 2016. Trump, who has denied wrongdoing in both cases, is the only former president ever charged with a crime.
“I have been indicted, seemingly over the Boxes Hoax,” Trump posted on social media site Truth Social. He claimed he was being treated unfairly. “I never thought it possible that such a thing could happen to a former President of the United States,” he said in a screed that ended: “I AM AN INNOCENT MAN!”

Poor comrade victim. The entire justice system is hiding the truth. Even when, now wait for it, Trumps own handpicked head of the FBI and justice department dismissed the allegations claimed against the Bidens as being a nothing burger.
They didn't sweep it under the rug, they tried with all their might to find criminal activity. They investigated for years, the congress is still trying to prove the Bidens guilty of something and can't. They found and continue to find nothing.
If I were you comrade, I'd look in the mirror and ask yourself if you want to continue living in a fantasy world. It has to be terribly disappointing to always come up short because your so called facts aren't facts at all. Just wishful thinking.

CNN has a transcript of a 2021 conversation in which Donald Trump is complaining that Gen. Mark Milley said Trump wanted to attack Iran. Then Trump waved around a document:
"This totally wins my case, you know. Except it is like, highly confidential. Secret. This is secret information....As president, I could have declassified, but now I can’t."
This acknowledgment that (a) the document is classified and (b) he can no longer declassify it undercuts Trump's longtime claim that he declassified all the documents found at Mar-a-Lago. Since this was likely going to be part of his defense in the documents case, it's critical evidence for the prosecution. Whatever else Trump has to say, this demonstrates that the documents he refused to turn over were classified and he knew it.
