This is one confused woman. She cut off her boobs bc she wanted to be a man and then got pregnant.
Sheesh!

Gender-Affirming' Surgery Leaves People Lonelier and Depressed: Study
The head of a facility that carries out so-called “gender-affirming care” has published a study confirming that transgender surgeries do not improve mental health and make people feel lonelier than those who avoided surgical intervention altogether.
The University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf—seen here on May 30, 2022—carries out transgender procedures, such as “labiaplasty” and breast augmentation. Data collected from 104 transgender patients there informed two studies that found that transgender surgeries do not improve mental health and make people feel lonelier than those who avoided surgical intervention altogether. “In our study, the level of life satisfaction in transgender people was not increased in transgender people who had undergone gender-affirming surgery as compared to those who were unoperated,” says a study published Tuesday in BMC Public Health, a peer-reviewed scientific journal.
“[O]ur data indicate that transgender and gender-diverse people, who have undergone gender reassignment surgery feel lonelier” than transgender-identified people who have not elected to have surgery, finds a separate study by the same four researchers, originally published online May 11 in the journal Healthcare (Basel).

Woman transitioned to look like a man realizes how hard and lonely it is being a man.

Yanno, funny thing is, I had no problems talking to men at work. Being a supervisor, I was careful not to make friendships bc I really wanted to be fair. Friendly, but not a friend, yanno? But we talked about all kinds of stuff. I had men confide in me about their marriages or their children, gays confide in me about their love life and/or AIDS status, politics, economics and sex... the big no-nos... as well as talking tech, instrument, software or analysis problems, office politics and the idiocy of bureaucracy.
S/he must be talking to the wrong women.
I think tho that men face a different set of problems. They're expected to be stronger, more tech oriented, protectors, and monied.

I wouldn't say that just by being a man that you're going to have a hard and lonely life. There are a lot of different personality types out there. Both of my real close friends are extremely outgoing (and they need to be for their jobs in banking and in sales). I've always been the loner type though, so we make an odd pairing. But that's probably why I get along great with their families too, and always have a good homecooked meal waiting for me whenever I visit. I've got a lot of free time and I'm always willing to lend a hand with it.
But I would assume if you're going to transition that you're pretty messed up in the head about a lot of things before you make that decision. It's one of those "grass is greener" scenarios. I doubt very much that 95% or more of the people of either gender who decide they're going to try (and fail) to change it are very good looking, and that's always going to be hard for somebody when it comes to all aspects of being social. Especially with how asshole school kids probably treated them growing up.
9 times out of 10 or more I'd guess that if you weren't happy being a man (or woman), you aren't going to be happy being a woman (or man).
And yeah... emotionally speaking, men are expected to live by much different rules than women are. Not everybody gets to be Ellen Page and get the support of every Hollywood asshole, Democrat politician and movie critic. Most people who ever do this to themselves are going to be just as alone as they were before they had it done. And if you're going to be a man even less people want to hear you whining about things than did when you were a woman.

I guess I just don't understand what she thought was gonna be at the end of the rainbow, so I don't understand her disappointment.
Listening to her- a clearly off-balance person - prattle on about being "emotionally mature" and "helping women" be emotionally mature was as off-putting as reading SECOND calling other people "crazy". I can't imagine what role she was playing in her own fantasy. A "older brother" figure? The "gay male best friend" role? The "strong yet sensitive" guy? And what kind of response was she looking for from women, and from the world in general.
Picture's not coming clear.
Any ideas?

"Emotional Maturity" is indoctrination at school. They actually measure your "Emotional Intelligence" and call it EQ. The same goes for "helping women". How is getting a sex change surgery helping women, exactly? I'd ask that person to be VERY specific. I would have asked them that LONG before they had a procedure done.
This person doesn't sound like they could be strong for anyone, including themselves. But they've been told for over a decade that doing this change is "stunning and brave", so what could show everyone how strong they were better than the thing they saw a few celebrities do and (in fantasy liberal media land) was celebrated like it was the most important thing they've ever done in their lives?
Think Bruce Jenner. He's a freakin' olympian, but the only thing anybody is going to remember him for is being a very ugly woman with a man's voice, and People's "Woman" of the Year.
This nameless person isn't going to get any of that celebration in real life. They were already an outcast in their old life, and most likely most of their family and what little friends they had have slowly found a way to cut them out of their lives. All the media brainwashing in the world isn't going to change the fact that people deep down don't like things that are different, and that "stunning and brave" change she made is just about the most different thing that a person can do to themselves.
These are people with mental problems. Deep mental problems. And butchering their reproductive systems is going to be looked back on as even more evil than electroshock therapy.

Quote:So in essence you're saying she tried surgery to gain acceptance, approval, and/or notoriety for her 'bravery'? Seems she's a case study, and that the studies that show people generally being MORE depressed and lonely after surgery are true. I guess you can't fix pyschiatric problems with surgery.

Altho, in defense of electroshock, it's been useful in some cases of intractable depression.
