Hearing appointment done and my hearing in both ears is stable which is good. But hearing aides needed some work done on them. One thing is they were set too low, so the audiologist had to adjust the sound level then the wire on them was too long and she had to fix that then she had to replace the covering for the microphone with a smaller one. After all that she said I have to be sure I have them in properly as they weren't when I went in. The problem there is that my ear canals are bent up and that is not right. Also should be using them more when I am home as I told her I had to put the tv up a notch to hear it. Then I also have to get my ears cleaned by a doc at some point too.

But all in all not a bad appointment and I like this audiologist better than the one I saw last year. So, we shall see what happens next year.

Didn't wake up to any alerts this morning because there weren't any.

I don't know if I actually did anything different last night than the nights previously. Maybe I'm finally starting to level out?

I'm still higher than I want to be, but all night I was right around 160 and the line was pretty much even from midnight to 7:00AM when I woke up. Strangely, it did take a dip to my target 120's after waking up, but then went up to the low 170's by the time I took my daily shot at 9:00AM.

Best start I've woken up to by far. First time I've been up in the morning without a single reading over 180mg/dL. I'm pretty sure I'll have my daily mid-afternoon drop again, but this might be my first day where I don't spend any time too high.

154.0 lbs today.

Gotta run and get some gas and then it's time to mow the lawn. Finally going to have a warm and dry day for it.

Out for my walk in a bit. Got to do some grocery shopping in and a couple of other things. I have my hearing aides on.

Well... It sounded good on paper.

I ate breakfast and about an hour later I spiked to about 210 for about 45 minutes despite the correct measurement of insulin.

Then, after I got back from shopping and picking up gas for my mower, I was back down to 110. I decided as a preemptive measure I'd eat 1/2 cup of peanuts. I pulled some weeds and before I started mowing I was down to 84. When I finished the front yard I was down to 64. I ate another 1/2 cup of peanuts. Finished the lawn and I've been around 70-72 since. Ate a banana when I came back inside and that didn't move the needle after 30 minutes. Started feeling weird and got a headache now, so I just broke down and took two more of those damn glucose tablets.

This is like 6 days in a row I've needed to use those to save me from my lows.

I need somebody to tell me what the hell is going on here.

Back from my walk and everything done for today.

I am hoping to get my stuff sent off to the publisher this afternoon. *fingers crossed*

Interesting thing to note about my levels today...

Including the 2 glucose tabs, I ate almost 50 grams of carbs around lunch time when I was mowing the lawn after having a 15 minute workout this morning and I did not take any insulin for it. I had a brief spike to the mid 150's after taking those two glucose tabs which started coming right back down as quick as it went up, but here we are a little over 3 hours later and I just got an alert that I'm back down to 76.

In addition to the 20 units of long-active, 8 units of rapid-acting is all I've had since I woke up almost 13 hours ago, and I figure I've had about 105 grams of carbs in that amount of time.

AND I'm low.

Could this maybe be a good sign? ....

Maybe?
