Salt: Somewhere between 1/2 to 1 measuring teaspoon a day (appx 1,150 to 2,325 mg per day.) On the lower side if you're eating food with salt in it (canned soups, canned vegetables, deli meats, cheese etc) on the higher side if the food you're eating is essentially unsalted (frozen vegetables, ground beef, chix breasts, ground turkey, etc)

The whole idea that salt is poison drives me nuts.

Studies show that people who limit their salt to less than 1,500 mg/day have a HIGHER incidence of heart failure and "cardiac events". SOME people... roughly one out of 10... are salt sensitive. That means that salt raises their blood pressure. That's something you need to find out, but the odds are that you aren't.

Also, get enough potassium:

Foods high in potassium:

Vegetables high in potassium:

I hope your nutritionist can straighten all of this out for you. If her advice conflicts with mine, try hers first.

I am back and it is done. This one was broken down to the gum line, so it took some extra freezing to get it out with the root intact. They put some foam in to help with the healing along with removing some infected tissue. Nothing was bad enough to need sutures or antibiotics. Just the usual if you need pain killers take them and be extra careful for the next three or four days.

Think a lot of the freezing is out. Jaw joint is a little sore because of where the needles went. But I expected it.

It is a big relief to have all that hard work done. Now it is just a cleaning in a couple of weeks.

That sounds difficult!
Hubby had an impacted and broken wisdom tooth that needed to be extracted (broken in an old motorcycle accident). It had four roots, each one had a hook in it, and they were embedded into his jawbone. They actually had to split the tooth into four pieces and angle out each piece, and it was a struggle! He was a bit swollen and black and blue around the jaw angle.
I can sympathize!

Today was the last reasonable day this week, weather-wise, for working outside. So I had dear daughter weed whack the back lawn. It was hot and sweaty work! My plan was to dig up enough of the vegetable garden for four tomato plants. But dear daughter was having so much trouble with the string spooling out too much (she was trying to whack too big a chunk at a time) and hubby decided to trim up the cape honeysuckle, so I wound up spending my time going back and forth, helping as needed.

Altho I didn't get done what I planned to do, a lot got done!

Tomorrow the temp is gonna vault into the high 80s and stay there for a while. I know I'm gonna have to get used to working in hot weather sooner or later, but I'm trying to ease into it

For the winter, which was pretty chilly, I tossed the summer comforter over the winter one, and we were nice and snuggly. But a few days ago I took off the summer comforter. Gonna run it thru the wash and replace the heavy winter comforter with it once it's clean.

My dentist had to do that on the right side. Break a tooth into pieces to get it out but they did.

The root on what was left of this tooth today had a hook on the end of it and the dentist told me if it was left then bone would have grown up around it. It explains the difficulty.

I'm a little swollen in the area but no bruising and lucky for me no real pain. Just have to remember to chew on the right side for a few days.

Seems like getting your teeth taken care of was a major project, and a major accomplishment. I hope this means smooth sailing for you, at least in the dental department, from now on.

527mg/dL this morning. 151.2lbs.

This goddamned meter had better be busted.

I'm pumped full of 2 weeks of meds, 1 week of insulin and almost 8 more pounds of body weight and the numbers just keep going up.

In order to calibrate your glucometre, you will need certain tools and solutions. These may include:

Control solution: This is a special liquid that contains a known concentration of glucose. It is used to check that your glucometer is accurately measuring the glucose in your blood.

It was on both accounts. Got left too long but I wasn't ever in a position to get anything attended to. It should. All the teeth left are in good shape and I am aiming to keep them that way.
