a) It is clear you didn't read the 13-page Statement of Fact. I guess you don't understand that two, or even more, can commit the same crime. For example, prosecutors are not forced to pick one and only one bank robber to charge when there were several bandits in the bank, only some holding guns and others unarmed but filling bags with loot.
b) Innocent until proven guilty means the punishment doesn't start until after conviction. Back in the olden days, the king wasn't careful. He kills the guilty then the trial comes later, if at all. Modern-day prosecutors and DAs are just as certain that the defendant is guilty as the old kings were, but DAs now wait until a jury also agrees before killing the guilty. With an expensive defense attorney on Trump's side, all certainty is lost and jurors become more like random flipping coins (heads he's guilty, tails he's not) than like deliberating wise men and women. Team Trump only needs to bribe/threaten/confuse one juror ("You won't have a country anymore if my client, the President, is found guilty") for Trump to win. The DA needs to convince 12 jurors and the DA is not allowed by the judge to bribe/threaten the jury. The DA will work with this same judge on many other cases while Team Trump will never see this judge again, which gives Team Trump an easier job of bamboozling the jury.
