I personally feel that this is just a weaponized "justice system" attempting to derail a potential Trump candidacy. Pretty much like all the other crap that they made up and tried to stick on Trump ("collusion", "quid quo pro", " rape", "tax cheating" etc)
Just like 911 persecutions were lawfare against non- Democrats, even tho ACTUAL rioters were given a pass if they were BLM. Given a knee, in fact.
Anyone who is mentally and emotionally outside of The Borg see the weight of the media, law enforcement, and the so-called justice system as the repression that it is.

Voting doesn't work, the media and internet are heavily censored, the WH and most of Congress are unreachable, and even peaceful demonstrations will be suppressed by any means possible.
DeSantis, FWIW, may be the tame opposition, at least as foreign policy is concerned. Still TBD, but so far, I think "yes".
I think the answer is a massive write-in campaign.
