The problem with French electorate is that they're terrified of voting for anyone labelled "far right" (I suppose bc of their history of collaborating with the Nazis during WWII),and anyone who is a populist or who doesn't stick to the center/ left wing is labelled "far right" - whether they are or not.
Sooner or later, that button labeled "far right" will get pushed once too often, and many will be able to see past the propaganda.
Marine le Pen made a mistake partway thru her campaign, when she watered down her message to try to appeal to those whose "far right" button still worked. But you can't win over the propagandized.
If le Pen runs again, she has to stick with her message and ignore whatever label The Machine tries to pin on her. And if Zemmour runs again, Oh la la!
