I go back to my only post on the topic: One of the reasons why there are so many pit bull attacks us bc there are so many pit bulls. Also, they are large and have strong jaws. So even if your typical Chihuahua is nippier than a pit bull .. who cares??

So yeah, some small dogs, too, tend to be aggressive WAY beyond their size: they snap, growl, lunge and yap, but who the heck care? They're too small to do much damage.

We now have a mini rat terrier,and she is fierce... but only towards lizards

There is one breed of dog I know for sure was bred NOT to bite,and that's the German Shorthair. They're retrievers, and if they bite down they would spoil the game. But the act of hunting involves detecting, tracking/ stalking, chasing and biting down. They don't do the last part.

Bull Terriers are cool. My mom and stepdad got one on a rescue and it was a wonderful dog. The only thing he ever did to piss me off was chewing on my glasses while I was sleeping and I left them on the coffee table. He never harmed anyone, and was extremely protective of my niece around strangers when she was a toddler.

It was almost as hard on me watching him die his its last few weeks as it is going through that with my Grandma now.

I remember back when I'd let him go outside and walk around with me without a leash when I'd housesit, but after a few weeks of doing that and never wandering outside of the front lawn, he got bold and started walking down the block one day. He thought we were playing and when I picked up my pace he'd pick up his pace. When I ran after him, he started running away from me and he'd keep looking back at me. I finally caught up to him when he got himself cornered in a back yard, where he decided to take a massive Bull Terrier dump.

I picked all 90lbs of him up over my shoulder after he wouldn't let me drag him back home by his collar and walked 2 or 3 blocks back to the house. After I had him locked up, I went back to that house with a few baggies and cleaned up the poop.

That was the last time he ever went out without a leash on my watch.

Breeds act certain way which is why you don't ask a chihuahua or poddle to be a working dog like a Bloodhound, a Shepherd Dog Breed or a Pointer
