Not exactly Firefly, but I did used to have to speak to a 'Rupert Giles' once a week in my old job.
Firefly moments: Whenever the male maid come over in SIMS2.. he wears Blue Gloves.. I don't trust him (and is it coincidence that the Dishwasher seems to break whenever this maid uses it)
and I regularly use the phrase 'my days of taking you seriously are coming to a middle' and the Co-Worker I converted insists that I 'Do a *brilliant* Kaylee' because I (apparently) frequently say 'I'm pointin' right at it'
or words to that effect in the same tone of voice.

Ok, so this maybe a bit of a stretch. The plastic ware we use where I work is from some company called Guild Ware... Every time I am re-stocking I keep thinking there is no way a companion would be using plastic silver ware.

Woo-hoo!!! I had 2 Firefly moments yesterday.
First one, on the train, a girl was carrying a bag with 'Hello Kitty!' written on it. Only I read it wrong: I thought it was 'Hell's Kitten'. The name of a fellow browncoat!!!
Later that day, I saw a book with the cover "The origin of your child's name - From Adam to Zoe"
I hope these moments will keep coming!

At the movie theater where I work, I met this new girl named Kaylee. I asked her "Is that short for something?" And she said "no." Then a moment later she said, "No one's ever asked me that before." And I told her a little about Firefly, and about Kaylee, short for "Kaywinnet Lee."
Every well-bred petty crook knows that the small, concealable weapons always go to the far left of the place setting.

New to this forum, so this might have been discussed earlier.
The blue gloves thingy...big deja vue for me but not really a conincidence, maybe the origin of Joss Whedon's idea for them in Firefly?
Never been interested before in the Buffy and Angel series, but after Firefly, which I absolutely loved I decided to catch up on those two series. Have been forcefeeding myself with them these last two months. Just saw an Angel episode (season one, no. 18) where the police are investigating a crime scene, all wearing those blue gloves... felt eery.

The other day I was organizing a meeting with someone (to help me put up posters around campus). She suggested "tomorrow," and my internal monologue went "What day is it?" As I went to double check the calendar, my brain continued after a moment "What month is it?"
Is it bad that the voice in my head sounds like Jayne?

was rooting around a site used for role playing online ... I found someone using an image of Nathan Fillion from his Buffy role as an image to represent the character in the game

Well, when I was taking off my winter jacket at the beginning of class, I saw on the collar tag that the brand name of it had FIREFLY on it. I nearly stumbled because of that. I had no idea that the jacket I'd been wearing for months had the same name of a show I had gotten back into.

I work at a hospital and the gloves we use are blue. I always think to myself as I put them on, "two by two, hands of blue"

I had a FF moment a few days ago when flying in M$oft Flight Sim 2004. I was flying my trusty T-38 Talon down the Grand Canyon just under the speed of sound, every few minutes I look up (in the game) for some reason and I don’t know why, until I hits me.
With no one following me above the Canyon I keep flying for about 20 minutes until I almost pancake in to a wall and pull out then search for a place to land.
That kind of flying really wakes up a guy!
