That's difficult question you have to answer there. But I'm sure you'll figure some thig out.

There was a third option...

Got a little help from some old online friends.

It's still not a completely automatic process, but I've reduced my workload by dozens of hours at least just by asking for a little help!

Help from friends is good.

Same thing will happen with my book. I know someone who is a published author though she's poet. But we know some of the same people so she's agreed to help me.

Back from my walk and a lot of the snow is gone. So, that's good.

Dishes done, an inch or so trimmed from my hair and over an hour of book work done. Ch. 25 finished and started on Ch. 26.

I had to scroll waaaay up to catch up with what you guys are up to!

SIX, I can't imagine tackling anything that deep into software/firmware/hardware!
And I would never attempt anything as ambitious as writing a book, BRENDA!

Been busy just keeping up with things. Where does the time go???

Sure is good.

Most my life I was living like an island. My step-dad told me that "No man is an island", but I didn't really listen to that advice until about 10 years later and way after I sobered up.

And at first when I was helping people, a large part of it was about planting obligations on them, and a lot of times I never cashed in on them because it put me at an advantageous position. But you start doing it enough and you realize that you get a lot of satisfaction and purpose doing it, then you're not so worried about when you're going to get paid back.

That's awesome that you know somebody to help you get published. I wouldn't even know where to begin on that myself if I didn't know anybody.

Seems you're still plugging along. The muse must be with you.

Being stuck in a damn cold house makes it easy to work on. Unless I grow un-stubborn and turn the heat up, there's not a whole lot to do around here other than keep the place tidy and veg out all day. That's boring. I only want to do that at night when things are winding down.

I'm really on a roll now. That help I got from the old online buddy just made the world of difference. It's amazing what about 50 typewritten characters arranged in the correct order can do. I actually couldn't even guess how much time he saved me and how many computer restarts too.

Hope you're getting your stuff done too!

My problem is I can have a big problem with asking for help. I can get so stuck on trying to do everything on my own then when I need help it's hard.

Well, she's going to help me write a proposal. You have to do that first. I learned that through research.

I am. I've never gave up on my writing but this is the first time in years that I've actually been able to get things done with it. Well, the momentum for getting ready for someone else to read and help me is certainly with me.

Been watching "Jurassic Park: World Domination" and I'm not so sure I like it. So, it will be heading back to the library tomorrow.

I hear ya, and I do the same. But I've found that going out of my way to help others first makes it pretty easy to get favors returned, and makes it easier for me to ask for help when I need it too. I can't really offer any direct help to the two people who helped me online the other day, but I have done things for a greater community in the past and they're happy to spend a few minutes whipping up something for me when I do ask.

But yeah... I wasted about 8 to 10 hours doing something manually that could have been done in about 1 hour with their help. And there's a lot more to be done that will be really quick now.

I can tell. I've heard you talk about writing from time to time, but never seen you on fire like this before.
