All my errands done for today including getting some lamb chops for New Years. It was dry this morning then as I was leaving my senior's centre it was raining. And another storm rolls in.

Out for my walk in a bit. Just a couple of small things to do.

Snow totals for Bflo so far this year was 101". Normal snowfall for an ENTIRE SEASON is 95", and they still have three months to go!

The last storm dumped 3'-6', location depending. But the temperature is warming and the sun is shining for a change.

Meanwhile, in California -land, we're expecting to get dumped on by two atmospheric rivers, one after the other. In the flatlands predicted totals are about 4" over 10 days, more in the San Gabriel foothills. The SF bay area and Sierras expected to get rain/snow. Not complaining! This is welcome news!

No snow on the ground, but since the sun hasn't come out since it's gotten warm everything is wet even without any rain.

My furnace hasn't kicked on in almost 36 hours.

Back from my walk and the sun is out and shining. Nice and dry for now. There is threat of more rain. Have to see if it appears.

We're actually a couple of degrees above our normal temperature where I am.

Suppose to be dry for the Polar Bear swim on Sunday. I hope so. That is not something you could get me to do but Sunday will be the 103rd year for it.

I wouldn't have done it before, but...

I'm getting so used to cold temps as the normal that it might not be so bad.

.... I don't think I'm going to fill my tub up with cold water and jump in it tomorrow though.

We're at 39 straight hours without my furnace kicking on and it's 36 degrees outside.

I'm all in now. I'm aiming for using 50% less energy this month than my efficient neighbors.
