Tax returns shed light on entanglements between Donald Trump and Deutsche Bank

The explosive New York Times report on the tax situation of US President Trump is raising some uncomfortable questions for Germany's largest lender, Deutsche Bank, namely: why did Deutsche Bank loan Mr Trump 2 Billion dollars at the same time other banks, including all US banks, were not willing to do so. And while Deutsche Bank may be handlling the loans, we cannot say tonight who or what is behind that money. In other words, we don't know who owns the debt of US President Donald Trump. And adding to the puzzle is the role played by the son of a former Supreme Court Justice. Justin Kennedy, son of former Justice Anthony Kennedy, was a division head and contact for Trump at Deutsche Bank. Kennedy was close to the then future president while continuing to lend him money.

Does anyone mind if I say I told you so. That again and again I told you so. Did you hear them mention Russia. They did you know. They did mention ties between Kushner and Russia concerning money laundering.

Trump's legal team better be able to get him to plead insanity at trial, a Harvard law professor says

legal team should get him to plead insanity if he goes on trial.

In a tweet on December 25, Laurence Tribe, an expert on constitutional law, shared his comments about Trump's new video message to the January 6 panel.

"If this is the 'defense' at Trump's forthcoming trial, I don't envy the lawyers who agree to represent him," Tribe tweeted.

Trump’s Brazen Tax Cheating Revealed

By David Cay Johnston, December 27, 2022

What's so bad about the following? One technique he used at least 26 times between 2015 and 2020 was as simple as it was flagrant. Trump filed sole proprietor reports, known as Schedule C, that showed huge business expenses despite having zero revenue. That created "losses" which Trump used to offset his income from work and investments, thus lowering his income taxes.

Trump knew this was unlawful because he lost two trials over his 1984 income taxes in which he did the exact same thing. Both judges, in scathing opinions, ruled that Trump committed civil tax fraud.

What Trump did again and again — taking expenses for businesses with no revenue — is so simple that jurors should have no trouble understanding the issues.

That Trump persisted in using the same fraudulent technique in six years of recent tax returns is powerful evidence of mens rea or criminal intent. This device is not Trump’s most lucrative tax cheating technique, but it is the easiest for jurors to understand should Trump be indicted on tax charges.

The 65 Schedule Cs Trump filed as a candidate and as president helped him convert a federal tax bill that should have been $46 million into a $2.1 million refund from the federal tax system.

It's not tax cheating, mouthbreather.

Let's see the Pelosi's taxes. I'm sure they've done it to.

If you don't like the rules that the rich people get to live by, then vote in people who are going to change it.

SPOILER ALERT: Ain't no fuckin' Democrats in office going to do it. Not even AOC.

Maybe Bernie would? Let's see his tax returns too.

This is a big nothingburger just like the dozens and dozens that came before. The only people who are going to care are the TDS sufferer's who would never vote for Trump anyhow.

I'm sure Rachel Maddow will get her first bump in ratings in a year for about a week. Other than that, this will be forgotten about 3 weeks from now.
