I put out my rain gage last night bc they said we'd get about 1/2" of rain. By appx 2 AM we'd only gotten a drizzle but when I looked out the window this AM it looked like 1.5". Woo hoo! I'll measure it later but... yippee!!!
Edited to add: 1 7/16". Once the clouds are blown away I expect to see snow on the mountains.

Yeah. Certainly unexpected on a Sunday.
I didn't even know he called and I just got lucky that I checked my phone to see if anybody had. It's the only time in the collective 10 weeks he's had my car this year that I got a call from him and I didn't pick it up.

I hear they're bringing back some mandates by you, Sigs? Is this true? Are the people going to allow it again?

My other bud is very happy to hear that I have my car back so I can come out and help him on his house again.
As long as I can get the pool table down in the basement this week and we don't have to do it on the weekend, I already know what my plans for the weekend are.

Wow. That's like a year's worth of rain for you, ain't it?
It's like a normal afternoon around here on a bad year.

Got some fog for my walk this morning. Things to do.
And I should get a move on with Christmas cards.

Quote:By now, it seems like it! But as hard as it is to imagine, having been in near-contimuous drought for over a decade, a year's -worth of rain would mean, on the average, one inch of rain each week, EVERY week, from mid-November thru Dec, January, and February. We haven't seen that in a long time!
