Every time I open my kitchen cupboard and see the tiny bottle of saffron my penpal from Iran sent me, I get a YoSafBridge moment.

The other day at work, someone asked rhetorically, "You know what that makes us?" I replied, "Big Damn Heroes, Sir." He didn't get it. I walked away giggling.

I can't see a slo-mo atmosphere shot of a funeral anymore without thinking of Nathan appearing next to everyone ... including the corpse.

"Just keep walkin, preacher man."

A few weeks ago, I took the final for my human skeletal anatomy course. As I was looking at a lumbar vertebra through a magnifying glass, I swear the spinal process and transverse processes turned into Serenity sitting on land. It may have been the lack of sleep from too much studying, but it still put a big grin on my face for the rest of the test.

Also, after watching the Pompeii discovery channel special, I turned to my boyfriend and said "as morbid and creepifying as this sounds, THAT is what I want to do...put together those skeletons"...he didn't get the reference.

We were discussing the budget for our upcoming company party. All of the funds had been allocated when someone suggested we use the last five percent for a karaoke machine (said person obviously didn't here me state we were out of money). The committee leader, not me, said, "let's see five percent of nothing is nothing."

I fell out of my chair laughing. I mumbled something about Firefly, and they rolled their eyes. It took them a good ten minutes to get the meeting back under control.

I swear his voice sounded just like Jayne's.

We didn't need the money anyway as I own a karaoke machine.

Bought the gloss, and luckily really liked the color on.

A friend of mine told me today that he avoided going to a Star Trek Shindig this past weekend. Now I'm thinking I need to convert him.

MALICIOUS thank you for resurrecting this thread. It's been a long time since we had one.

You're assuming I don't think about Firefly 24/7. Well you're wrong this week.

There was one today, though. Went in town and I passed a place like the own where River dance (in Safe). I could just hear the music and see River dancing... It made my grin even grinnier

Sure thing, Channain! It was Cover Girl brand, WetSlicks lip gloss, #325. It was awhile back that I bought it, probably a year ago. Post here if you find it.

been awhile since I did my anatomy course (before firefly, that's my excuse) but now that you mention it... there is a certain resemblance!

Mal -
Thought I'd report a Firefly Moment I just had.
I saw this headline on the Yahoo home page:

River Poses Security Problem at Super Bowl

And really had to take a second look. River's gonna be at the Superbowl? Doing what, killing people with her brain?? Turns out the article is about the problems with having the St. Johns river so close to the Superbowl venue, but I had to laugh!

Here's part of it:

Tue Feb 1, 8:26 PM ET
By MARK LONG, AP Sports Writer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A river runs through it — and that's a security problem for this city's first Super Bowl. From jet skis to cruise ships, watercraft regularly ply the St. Johns River, a federal waterway that runs right alongside Alltel Stadium.

All boats must be checked and rechecked. Ships carrying visitors by the thousands are monitored around the clock. And Coast Guard divers have to search the river on a regular basis.

NFL vice president for security Milt Ahlerich called the river "a unique aspect of this Super Bowl," but he also downplayed the impact it had on the security plan Tuesday.

It's gotten so bad (good?) that I just had a Firefly moment... about this board.
I was watching PTI (Pardon the Interruption) today - 2 sports reporters talking about the day in sports (better than it might sound) - one of the reporters was in Jacksonville, FL where it's been unusually cool and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, hood up. Another commentator said, "Wilbon, wth that hood up you look malicious..."

I'd like to be king of all Londinum and wear a shiny hat.

That's pretty bad! It's worse, though, when someone uses the word "malicious" and you get offended that they have used your name in
vain....
