Back from my walk and everything done for today including making some shortbread.

Nothing of importance got done today. In fact, I took a super long nap that I'm going to regret tonight. 
Made some plans with my bud for tomorrow night. I'm going to help him drive a car back to his house, then he's ordering pizza and we're having that last movie night before moving his furniture out and we do the other work. We'll probably be bringing the furniture over to my place on Saturday.
Still no word on the car. I told him that it's been so long since I've driven one I might need him to give me lessons before I drive his car back to his house.

Well, despite interruptions I managed to trim a bush, rake up the driveway (almost a bins-worth of trimmings, leaves and pine needles), and finally wash the dog and trim her nails. If the rain holds off I'm going to rake up the back and pick up the palm stalks and grinds.
Speaking of rain... The predicted storm looks to be swinging north. We may not be getting rain but it looks like everywhere from Point Conception to Sacto is getting heavy rain, and snow in the Sierras. Woo hoo!

Mechanic got real sick over the weekend. I thought his wife died when he picked up the phone from how he sounded on Monday. He still sounded like shit today but he's going to have my car up tomorrow, he says....
Whatever.
As long as the price doesn't go beyond what he told me before, no biggie. I don't really need the car right now. I'm going to need to call in another favor on a ride if I don't have it by Saturday though. Just about ran out of perishables again.

I agreed with you on it the first time and decided that the annoying factor wasn't as big of a con as bringing up old posts and updating them with current events was. But it was getting a little crazy in the last few weeks there, wasn't it?
