Yeah. It was.
Tomorrow is only 44 and raining though. Our last 50 degree day isn't until Tuesday I guess. We'll see if I'm feeling like working in the cold and the rain. I won't really have to be going in and out once I get out there, but I did have to take all my batteries and the liquid nails back inside because of the cold temps overnight. Hopefully it's not raining all day. No reason to get up early since it won't even be hitting 40 degrees until the 9 o'clock hour.

My area is sitting at 40F now in the sun. But still calls for snow with rain. Just have to see. But I'm not doing anything today. Sunday the day I allow myself not to do anything.

It's nice doing nothing.
I didn't finish the unit, but I did get the front hardboard panel cut down to size and sanded the edges all smooth. I decided to screw in two washers in the 4 corners instead of trying to glue electric box slugs, and used super glue to put 4 hard drive magnets on the inside of the panel to "clip" onto the washer/screws. It works great!
The front panel probably doesn't need it, but I'm going to get some of the black rubber bumpers that I used for my kitchen cabinet doors to put in the middle of the screw/magnet combos for extra support since they do raise the panel off the frame. I'm definitely going to want to do that to the top where the cat is going to be jumping.
I'm also going to add a small panel to the back/top of the unit that sticks up just about 1/8th of an inch. That top panel is BIG and if I don't do that it will slip and hit the wall when my brother takes it off from the front, and without it being there for him to press into when setting it back into place I'm afraid he's going to have a bit of trouble putting the 4 magnets on right. Once they snap into place they're really tight and you can't really slide it into place after they clamp down. This will be a little guide that will help him match up perfectly with the depth and all he'll have to worry about is having it centered correctly before gently dropping it back into place.
I had to get my smallest brad nails and shoot 6 of them in each of the slats on the sides of the unit. I gave a light tug test to all of them, and every one seemed to be sturdy except for the middle that popped out of one where the glue apparently didn't do the job. So I didn't want to risk the cat would be rougher with it than my gentle pulling. It's rock solid now.
I also started taking apart a microwave my neighbors threw out to get the good bits out of it, but then it got real cold and I was done for the day.
47 and sunny tomorrow and 55 and rainy on Tuesday, so I'm sure I'll be able to finish both projects and get the garage cleaned up for my car that hopefully gets finished this week.
That will be just about the end of my projects out in the garage until April or so.

Doing my best to resist the Black Friday itch here.
Home Depot just so happens to have 4 of the cordless power tools I've been looking for in a combo sale. But I know that if I buy them at a different time I can get them cheaper when the right 2pack combos come up. They're throwing in a charger and two of the small batteries with it, and I've already given away 2 chargers and I don't need any more small batteries. But it's got the better of the two router models, the better of the two rotary tools, the random orbital sander I've been wanting for a year or two and a glue gun... but the glue gun isn't the version with two heat settings, so it's not really the one I want.
I'm also looking at newegg at a bunch of things around the $5 price point... various useful adapters, 2.5" drive cases and hubs... but that's been leading me down a rabbit hole where I'm already finding over $50 of stuff I don't really need.
I'll probably end up buying nothing like I usually do after spending a few hours just window shopping.

I hate how much more I pay attention to politics when the weather gets cold.
What I need to do is get this house finished and more efficiently heated so I can have a proper workspace in my basement for project work to keep my mind away from such things. TV and Movies hold no interest for me, my computer project gets kind of dangerous since I can lose days at a time in it and not be properly keeping up with anything else if I go too far down that rabbit hole, and these short days when the sun is down before 4:30PM really screws with my mood and sleep schedule.
I didn't buy anything for Black Friday... yet. But I still have about a billion tabs open and a few carts full of stuff that I probably won't buy.
My goal today is to finish my brother's computer sleeve and to get that microwave taken apart so I can get the useful stuff out and put the rest on the curb Wednesday night. Then I'll spend the "warm" Wednesday cleaning the garage for the year and making sure I didn't forget to weatherize something. I should put starting my snow blower in the mix too. Don't want to find out there's a problem when I need it.

It is a struggle and it took me years to get to it. But I'm glad that I finally managed to do it.
