I'm going to watch it with as many people as I can talk in to going. I don't care how many times I have to see it to complete that task either.

It doesn't matter whether or not anyone would care enough to re-watch the recordings. They would still be there, for a certain amount of time until they turn to dust (like spores in a sandstorm... )
What you say about accepting the hum drumness of life does make a certain amount of sense, but I'm still clinging to my imminent fame... it's just around the corner.
