Off to mah jong in the morning. Another good dose of fog has settled into my area and should be around in the morning.

Back from mah jong and no luck at all this morning. Couldn't go out either. Got a bit of grocery shopping done thought so that is good.

Still no car here. Not that I care to go out at all in this weather anyhow. I've also got food for a year and toiletries for 5 years, so nowhere in particular I need to be going at the moment anyhow.
Keeping busy working on my old project. It's a nice distraction from the mundane, and certainly a better use of my time than playing video games or watching youtube all day.
Going to have to take advantage of a few days next week where it hits the mid-40's though. I don't want a repeat of last winter where I didn't get any work done on the house until April after the first snow fell.

Sis is expecting 2-4' of lake effect snow. Snow B4 T-day is pretty rare, and this amount is almost unheard of.
Except the last time it happened. Still remembered as Snowvember. You should look at some of the pix. https://www.wivb.com/weather/snowvember/

Oh... I remember Snowvember. At least I had a beast of a snowblower on hand for it. But I do remember telling my grandma that I was worried that if it kept snowing and nothing melted I might not have anywhere to put it. Thankfully, that didn't happen.

You've been sick and you have a few years on me. Don't beat yourself up.

And "winter" by you really isn't winter anyhow, so you've still got time.
I sure ain't better than you. This year saw some amazing progress for sure, but half of the work I've been doing is repairs from damage that I allowed to happen to my property from years of neglect while drinking, and I know full well that my neighbors all probably hated me back in the days when my property was being overrun by nature. This year at least I was able to do more than just play keep-up and I finally made some huge moves toward actually finishing this house.
Making up for lost time now while I'm still young and healthy and can handle it. I'm not super worried about the clock yet, but I've got to get this property ready to sell the next time the market is good. There's no way I'm going to die in this house. I want a small house with a flat roof that is on high land. The exact opposite of what I've got right now.

Back from my walk on a lovely fall day. Have to enjoy the dry. Suppose to rain next Monday.

Hey SIX, you want to know what has become a sort of ear worm for me. "A Spaceman Travelling" by Chris de Burgh. It was playing on the radio station the dentist's office had on the Monday I was there. Every so often my brain will tune it in.

I'm not familiar with that one, Brenda. I'll have to look it up.
Still got Mr. Blue Sky from ELO jammed into my head. It's been like a full week now.
I showed it to my dad and he loves it, but I warned him not to listen to it too much.
Freakin' cold here. 19 degrees. You keeping warm?

It's one of his earlier songs and is sort of a Christmas song even though he is comparing the star that hung over Bethleham to a spaceship.
That's one I will have to look up as I don't know it.
My computer is reading -1C and I don't know what that translates to in F. Will have to look it up. It's cold outside let's put it that way. I make sure that I am really bundled up when I go out for my walks.
ETA: Looked up -1C into F and it is around 30F where I am.
