And I STILL manage to double up appointments on some days, and forget to get what I'm supposed to get

Found an interesting show on Amazon called Utopia.

Interesting premise, but I wish it wasn't so gory.

No. At least not yet.

It went to the mechanic that gets around to working on your car whenever he feels like getting to it. Add to that he's going to have to fabricate some stuff and do a custom job here, I don't imagine this is going to be a quick fix. As long as it took him last time to do the brake lines, he didn't charge me his normal shop rates. We ended the last thing on good terms and maybe if I'm not an asshole to him this time around I might get a good deal on this... assuming he is able to fix it.

I'm relatively stocked up this time now, and with my neighbor asking me for favors I'll be able to cash in on some rides when I need them after their remodel is finished and they're not living like gypsies out of other people's houses. Depending on how tomorrow goes I might see if he can run me up to the store to get some external paint since he's already carting me a couple of places on Thursday morning, but with the clock ticking on the nice weather we've been blessed with, I don't know if I'd have time to get to it anyhow.

I was hoping to put this off until January when absolutely nothing is going on. Because right now if my friend wants help on the weekend he has to come and pick me up again. And I'm not going to be able to finish the work my aunt wanted done by the end of November unless she comes out and picks me up.

I'm usually pretty good at scheduling myself for appointments. I get an appointment slip written for me and then I put that on the fridge in good sight range, then sometimes I will write it down as well in a note book I keep in my back pack.

But still my brain can look at something that if very straight forward and decide it is wrong. Takes a bit to get it back on track. Now, I just hope it stays on track. *L*

My memory was wonderful when I was younger anything my mom needed to know and I could usually recall it. Though that was before the brain tumour and surgery to remove said. It was a while after that that I started noticing differences. Then when looking after my mom through cancer surgery and chemo treatments the first time, I developed a system. I would stack all appointments on the kitchen table then as they were covered, I would remove them and put the paper into recycling. So in a lot of ways I have just continued on with it.

Well I've been telling people since it came out that they need to watch Utopia. Glad you finally found it because as far as I know nobody else watched it.

Unfortunately, it did not get a 2nd season. It kind of blows my mind that they even released the 1st season when they did, right at the beginning of the Plandemic.

It's still worth watching to the end even though you're going to be left as empty as you were when watching Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

There is a UK version of the show that came out first. I've never looked into it to see if they actually finished that show or not.

You're right about the gore though. My old man told me I should watch it and after maybe just the first or second episode I told him that I might not finish it. He told me that he thought the same thing, but that he stuck with it and that I should too. He was right. But that was all before the lockdowns started happening and I knew that there was no chance they were going to tell any more of that particular story.

They blame the cancellation on low viewership, but if you watch it all you'll know why that's bullshit.

That was the one with the multiple time loops, wasn't it? That one left me mostly confused. I lost track of who was from what time loop.

There were two (three, actually) predictive points to the story. Four, depending on how conspiracy-minded you are.

The first is the nature of the virus itself. The virus that's in the drop of rain in the frame with the little girl with the T-shaped rash on her face? The spherical virus with the spikes sticking out of it? That's a corona virus. A lot of viruses have distinctive shapes, and that's one of them. (Ebola is another one. It's rod-shaped with a curl, crook, or loop on one end, kind of like a shepherd's crook.)

The second is the bat as the ostensible source of the virus.

The third is that the virus was deliberately manufactured.

The fourth is the evil pharma genius who spreads a virus in order to promote a vaccine, sidestepping the FDA in order to get an EUA. (I don't know what's with the vaccine yet, but it's not looking good.)

A fifth, I suppose, is more descriptive thn predictive, but it's USA's (and China's) continuation of biowarfare research.

I was just as surprised watching it as I was re-watching "The Lone Gunmen" (an X-Files spinoff.) Their VERY FIRST episode was about a USA government plot to get terrorists to fly a commercial passenger jet into one of the twin towers. Aired BEFORE 9-11.

Anyway, all of this got me to thinking how "Contagion" primed people to accept lockdowns.

It's one of those shows that, at least for me, once I started watching I couldn't stop (despite the gore) bc I wanted to see what would happen next. It's a gripping, unpredictable story.

We got some early rain last night. It was unpredicted so I didn't set out my "rain gage" and don't know how much it was. When I start weeding I'll be able to see how far it penetrated the soil.

Suppose to rain in my area tomorrow and through Friday and the weekend. Have to see.

We did. But areas of my province are still dry. There was a brush fire in a little place called Oliver in the Interior on Halloween. Stupid people setting off fireworks. The fire department there got it out before it got out of hand, thank goodness.

My mom's hometown of Cranbrook and other areas close to the Rockies are seeing some snow today. That snow will probably cross the Rockies into Southern Alberta to places like Lethbridge, Calgary.
