And just to annoy/piss off Jack, and maybe weird some of you out, my survival-mantra when I am half-dead, in pain and struggling to go on, isn't not a whit what y'all might think it would be.

Still just catching up on the thread, Frem. Unfortunately, I have no idea what video you sent since they changed the posting rules for videos since you've been gone. (There can't be an "s" after http)....

But I'm just going to say that if this is a FREM IMPOSTER, they picked a pretty damned good one.

When my Uncle Carm died, I was one of the only people who talked to him anymore. His mental illness left him unmarried, living in the same basement i had moved out of before he moved into it. He was a journalist, he was smart, he was really fun to talk to. On very rare occassions we got together for Starbucks or other times we got high together. One of the smartest guys I ever knew. Died in his late 40's of basically full-body cancer. It was everywhere. He was a hearthrob in high school though. It was only after I died that I saw his "Justin Bieber" like looks in a yearbook.

This mother fucker who I spent so many hours just chilling with, one on one, after he had spent years on Zoloft dies one day, and there were so many people that came to pay their respects to him that there were easily 100 people outside the building that couldn't get inside.

My Grandpa and Grams died. They had a HUGE church with a mediocre turnout. They had 5 kids and 21 grand kids and even kids of those kids among their own other family and friends. They were amazing people who remained amazing until the day they died.

But then Carm dies and for as long as I knew him, he was a lone wolf. If anyone was a perfect metaphor for "if a tree falls and nobody hears it", it would be him.

Yet....

I'm talking nearly 1,000 people at his funeral.

I'm talking that this turnout was something like you'd see in Narcos.

Carm was special. I don't know exactly how, but Carm was special.

I'm going to bet that it was because when he was young and Journalism was free, he did a lot of good things for good people who didn't have a voice.
