That's the big fallacy that the people who sell you gold want you to believe in.
If you have invested in gold in the market, that won't actually mean anything if the USD collapses because you're not ever going to see it.
If you have REAL gold, people who are stronger and/or better equipped than you will just take your gold.
If Mad Max World ever comes around, 90% of people are either going to be in chains or aren't even going to come out of it alive. Gold is helping nobody in that situation.
