Me too, but I hope to meet some browncoats afterwards.
For the finished version. I hope I'll have converted some people. I may go alone on opening night. Then I'll drag as many people as I can the 2d, 3d, 4th time

Well heaven forbid I irritate Zoid. I now have a profile, though it aint that exciting.
And I'm female. I think. *checks* Yup, definitely female.
When I think of an interesting signature you'll be the first to know.
First, I'm not so much annoyed as exasperated.
It gets really tiresome saying 'he/she', especially since it sounds mildly insulting. I always presume that the person whom I am addressing is very specific, genderwise. They're just keeping secrets, if they don't utilize their profile page.Age, color, creed, etc., are really of no import to me (although if one includes one's age, I'll know if arguing the merits of 1982's Bladerunner is lost on someone born the same year).
So, I read your profile and it turns out you're distinctly female. If you're married to Johnny Depp, you're Vanessa Chantal Paradis. Nice work.
Investigatively,
zoid

Sorry, zoid, that was me putting words in your mouth. *slaps self on hand a few times* I should know better than to invade your territory, O Master of the Written Word. I was just in a hurry and wanted to reply to Aramina and didn't stop to think of EXACTLY the right word to use. *bows in humble supplication* I'll just let myself out the back door, ok?
Packer fans welcome.
All others tolerated.

I will definitely be going alone the first time I see Serenity. Hopefully at a nearly-deserted midnight or matinee showing. I really would prefer to have the entire theatre to myself, if at all practicable.
After that, I and the kids will go once the first week, and then as many times as they'd like the second week. If they decide one viewing is enough and don't want to go the second week, I'll just ground them to their rooms with no TV, computers or gaming systems and go by myself at least twice. (NB: Ahhh! The joys of parenting!)
And of course, I'll be buying a seat and a soda at each showing for Lux Luthor, a Browncoat through-and-through, gone but not forgotten. Yes, all this will prove very expensive. But what was I planning on spending the money on otherwise? Food and housing? Ya' gotta have priorities, I always say...
Decidedly,
zoid

Don't be too hard on yerself. Please note the
after that sentence. Exasperated and annoyed have similar meanings (that was the 'joke' at which I winked). 'Annoyed' is what I get when someone tells me I can't have something; 'exasperated' is what I become when I experience difficulty explaining some tricky concept, like the difference between 'annoyed' and 'exasperated'.
(Did'ja see? I did it again!)
I didn't mean you any distress, mg. You know I love ya'.

P.S.
I like self-referential explanations. GNU stands for 'GNU is Not UNIX'. See what I mean?

Also, the title of this thread appears at first glance to say "Whore" you gonna watch Serenity with?
I assumed it was an insult.

I know Malicious has already mentioned a premiere shindig. I'm hoping we can all find someplace afterwards to come down from all that shindig-ety goodness of the BDM together.
I was figuring on Peoples Plaza, myself, and go to Denny's or something, afterwards. If we get to see a midnight showing, we could have breakfast! (It was really weird, not staying up till 4 in the morning for another installment of LOTR, this December 8-)

I am of the same mind as Zoid, in that I will be going alone for my first viewing of the BDM at the theatre. As I have taken opening day off for the premiere, I most likely will see it twice.
The weekend of the premiere I will be taking my wife and the kids as they are all Firefly fans. I will be going at least 4-6 more times in the first two weeks the BDM is out, going w/ my converts and the local Firefly Meetup group.
Sorry to hear you have no one to go to the movie with Aramina. September is still a good way off, perhaps you will have someone to go with by that time. All you have to do is share the DVD set w/ a few people and I am sure you will have some converts.
