The Ukrainian government and its military continue to commit war crimes.
Since a few days the Ukraine is firing missiles with thousands of anti-personal mines into Donetsk city and other population centers in the east. These are not powerful enough to kill but are designed to maim anyone who steps on them or tries to pick them up.
Their color is green and brown so one will hardly see them when they are laying in grass or on rough ground. The Russian's once had similar mines but those deactivated themselves after 24 hours. The Ukrainian ones do not do that. They will still be dangerous months from now. Russia has send hundreds of troops to help with the demining.

It has been pointed out that the Geneva Convention requires that prisoners be removed far, far away from the battlefield so that these "accidental executions" can't happen. During WWII, America moved POWs all the way to the USA. That means that when Russia has POWs it is suppose to move the POWs over the border into Russia, making sure that prisoners are kept safe. Unlike the USA during WWII, Russian executed POWs or made them slave labor.
The Russians are doing the same to prisoners today as they did in the past, killing prisoners and enslaving prisoners:

If Russia wanted to send a message to Kiev, they would simply video the torture-deaths of prisoners. Yanno, LIKE KIEV DID.
But since RUSSIA called for an imvestigation by the UN and IRC, it's highly unlikely that Russia did this, using a HIMARS (which Kiev says Russia doesn't have). IIRC, Kiev ALSO called for a Red Cross investigation. So this may have been either a rogue right-wing military group in Kiev's army, or the CIA did it.

Oh, BTW, it is an internationally-recognized fact that KIEV mined the waters around Odessa, preventing grain shipments from leaving. The mines that are now being cleared from around Odessa are KIEV's mines, not Russia's.
