Better idea, cut off all government benefits going to Red states that voted for Trump. The ratio of Federal Funding to Income Taxes Paid by a state shows that Republican states get a free ride at the expense of states with the most Democrats.
Eight of the 10 states most dependent on the federal government were Republican-voting.
Nine states sent more to the federal government than they received — seven of these were Democrat-voting and had higher per capita GDPs than many of the red states that received the most.
The eight states receiving the highest child tax credit per capita were all Republican-voting.
