Okay, so Part 9 is done - bet you all thought I forgot about it, didn't cha? Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm pretty good as fan fic writers go, but my writing speed or siginificant lack thereof is directly proportionate to my extreme desire to get the thing RIGHT.

I have a Beta Troupe to send it to yet, and then it should be posted in the next couple of weeks... unless anyone out there would like to give it a quick read-through and get it up sooner. Sad to say, I'm not willing to trust my own proofing abilities right now. I've been staring at this piece WAY too long.

Before you answer, I have to have your Promise that you'll keep the ending to yourselves, until I post. The Promise has to come first.

I can't believe how hard this was - one part not wanting it to end, one part trying to figure out how to bring it to an end. I solved the first part when a notion as to how to go about continuing the Zirondelle's story bonked my noggin. Turns out that was the easy part.

I kept going back and forth on how to end it, and had a minor case of superflouous story run-on for a while before I got it. I said there was one last loose end to tie up in Part 8, but really there was two. I had to read through prior parts to figure it out. That ever happen to you?

I've got so many loose ends to tie up with "Destiny". Some of them, like you, I didn't even realize until I re-read the previous Chapters. It drives you nuts!

Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I have to say I'm awfully pleased with how this has turned out. I don't get bored when I go back and read it, which is saying a lot. I don't know about you, but as a writer, sometimes you can look at a story TOO much and stop being happy with it to the point that you dread having to go back and read it for fact-checking. When that happens, I'm thinking the writing isn't as good as it should be and should just stop.

I totally agree. I'm still enjoying writing Destiny, but finishing this story arc is driving me crazy. I talked to Werzbowski about this yesterday, but I know how I want to end this arc, I even know how the next arc is going to begin, but I'm having a hell of a time getting there.

I've had a problem with some stories I started to write before, where I would get all into writing them, but when I read back over everything, it just wasn't catching me as it did when I was writing it. When that happens after 50+ pages of writing, it makes you want to tear your hair out.
