Could I though? I dunno. I wouldn't even know how to market the stuff I've been working on, and in the age of IKEA disposable crap and a lousy economy, I just don't know how that would work out.
I know that stuff in my house is going to be extremely unique and very well built though. I don't imagine that I'll ever be hanging any pictures on any of my walls, or any window dressings other than the vinyl that I put on the windows. My art is my home.
I am thinking about building some small decorative shelving to attach to some of the walls for knick knacks though. I didn't hover around dead people in my family like a vulture when they passed like my siblings and my cousins did, but I do have one or two specific things that I asked for from each of them. Some are quite valuable, but most aren't other than sentimental value. I think it would be cool to have a place to display them that wasn't just some crappy piece of furniture.

I do have better ways to spend my summer than doing something that could have been done during the winter, but not having that pantry finished was getting on my nerves and having a bright, clean and organized garage forced me to finally get it over with.
Now that I have experience with the drawer pulls in a very odd application, I know that building and installing the two missing kitchen drawers should be a piece of cake.

Nice. The new door for my shed arrived and is ready to pick up. I need to figure a place in the garage to put it until I can get my friend's dad over here to help me install it. I have a place in mind, but I need to do a little bit of work over there before I block the area off for who knows how long. I only want to move the thing once.
I'm going to be so happy to have my shed back. I haven't used that thing in years since the old door broke.
Now I can also move all of my lawn tools and the mower out there too.
I'll probably still keep the snowblower in the garage now though, as large as it is. It used to be out in the shed, but I had that stone paver patio out there back then. Even when I finally get around to covering the sand pit with river rock, it really wouldn't be an ideal spot to be dragging a heavy machine like that from, when the only place I can even really use it is my driveway because of its size.

A little heart breaking I had to use them for the painted shelving, but like I said, I needed solid

The ends will need to be cut off, but my plan now is to make a butcher block out of it for my kitchen
countertop.
Eventually, I will be resurfacing my countertop... Probably after I build the kitchen drawers, and I
want to have some extra protection on it. I'm going to sand that last one down to bring the
natural beauty of the wood out and then find what type of protective finish I can use that would
be "food safe".
Certainly no big rush on that project. Probably a winter time killer.

I was just cleaning out my gutters of other people's tree-crap during torrential rain. That was after almost getting stung by hornets that made a hive in an external electrical box I was trying to map where it would have been coming from outside the garage. When I finally killed them off and cleaned it out I got my multimeter out and turned the breaker back on, only to be suckerpunched by buckets of rain with zero forewarning and it's been raining ever since. None of this was in the forecast.
At least I didn't get stung or electrocuted.
Today sucks. I'm done working until tomorrow.
