Laundry done and walk in. Needed to return something to the library and pick up some bread.
Computer temp reading at 28C which 88F.
Got myself an ice cream at a local fast food place and now sitting down and enjoying it. Can't beat $1 ice cream.

I was wrong too... I just looked at the boxes today and mine use 65 watts and put out 6,000 lumens each.
I got the last two installed today, so that means I'm rocking 36,000 Lumens now!

Yeah. I actually had a taste of what it's like now today...
I had turned off the two over the garage door track after installing them just because for the work I was doing out there I didn't think I needed to be burning the full 390 watts (the reason why all 6 of the lights have porcelain pull chain sockets).
But rather than start trying to work on any of the exterior electric today since it was raining, I decided to clear out some of the junk that I had on the rafters and cut it down. I found all of the extra downspouts I had from the gutter install 2 years ago and didn't want to get rid of any of them, but some of them weren't long enough to span the rafters without the junk I got rid of.
So I had some 15" wide garbage boards of 1/4" plywood that was in the porch and I hadn't gotten around to cutting down and throwing out. I was able to make a 45" x 49.5" shelf up there to put all the aluminum in a spot where it won't be on any of my new conduit.
But when I was making my line on the first cut I said "damn"... and I was about to move my table so I could see the line but then I remembered my two new lights and turned them on and I didn't have any problem.

Me too! It's so freakin' great.
All I had in there before were the four dim flourecent bulbs over the large work bench in the 1/2 garage part, and a plug in LED bulb that mimics a flourescent light hung in the center of the garage that I had to get on a milk crate and plug in next to the garage door opener when I wanted to use it.
Now you can see my garage from space at night.
One of these days I'm going to get around to removing the florescent lights and just putting two more of these up over the large work bench on the other switch. I'm in no big hurry on that right now because I'm not paying $17 per bulb when I got the other ones on sale for $5 each. I'll be sure to stock up on them next time they go on sale.

Mowed the lawn and that's just about all I'm going to do today. I don't even remember the last day I did nothing.
My neighbor who recently retired from plumbing dropped by today while I was mowing to let me know that whenever I'm ready to do it he wants to help me put in a 2nd sump pump well and get it to shoot out the house at the right spot so I'm not held hostage by the city sewer during heavy rains anymore.
I couldn't be more thrilled.
Unfortunately, I'm super busy at the moment and will have to find time between now and August to do that. If my 10,000lbs of river rock have to sit in the sand pit during the winter and I don't get to that until next year so be it.
Oh... and when I explained to him the fix that I did to my drain a few years back I was surprised to hear from him that what I did was up to code and I "did good". That's nice to know.
I was able to take the opportunity to show him what I've been doing in the garage to illustrate how handy I am and how I can help him out with things in return. He's super envious of my garage setup right now.

I woke up at stupid o'clock, which I do about 1/3 of the time. I usually get up and do something quiet when it's clear I'm not getting back to sleep, but this time I decided to get out and do yardwork as the sun was coming up, and went back to sleep once I was pooped out. I got so much done, comparatively, I'm going to do that again next time I need to.
One more morning like that I'll have enough room for two hills of watermelon. Three more mornings like that and I can plant the okra too.
Even with the hot weather I filled up a big bin of dead nasturtiums, Bermuda grass, and weeds. By the end of next week the second veggie garden could be cleared and plante and I can start in the front yard again.
In the meantime I'm also tackling my yearly filing (6 months late!) and defrosted the freezer and I general have been tidying up

Yeah. Tons of lost time to make up for.
Didn't do anything besides mow the lawn today and then get a bunch of groceries for half price after a shower and a nap.
Was nice to slow down for a change.
