When are the hearings’ dates and times?
The first hearing was Thursday, June 9, at 8 p.m. Eastern.
The second will be held Monday, June 13th, at 10 a.m. Eastern.
There is also a hearing Wednesday, June 15th at 10 a.m. Eastern,
and there could be even more that week.
The committee hasn’t announced a formal schedule for the rest, but there could be as many as eight in total through June, with a final hearing in September.

For an awful lot of people the evidence about Trump and January 6th doesn't matter. They already believe that Trump tried to overturn the election results and they think that was a good thing. I mean, Democrats were the ones who originally tried to steal the election, right? So why shouldn't Trump fight them on the same level?
So we have (1) people who believe Trump tried to overturn the election and don't care, and (2) people who believe Trump tried to overturn the election and think it was an attempted coup. But I suppose there must still be some folks in the middle who don't realize what Trump did and would be outraged if they finally figured it out. That's the audience for these hearings.
Is it big enough to matter? Polling suggests that two-thirds of Republicans are in group (1) and pretty much all Democrats are in group (2). Independents split about half and half.

A day after the House January 6 committee revealed previously unseen video of former President Donald Trump’s daughter and senior adviser, Ivanka Trump, saying she accepted then-Attorney General Bill Barr’s statement that the Justice Department found no fraud sufficient to overturn the election, the former President is responding.
“Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results. She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as Attorney General (he sucked!),” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.

What if during all that time those 10-year-olds were calling 911 desperate for help, Uvalde’s mayor had been watching from his office on TV — doing nothing?

Surely Americans of every political stripe would have been horrified — no?

Isn’t that what Trump was doing in his office on January 6 as he received endless cries for help?
As Capitol police were being bludgeoned?
As calls were ringing out to hang the Vice President?
As the nation’s Capitol was being breached and defiled?
As a coup was under way?
(When you use violence to prevent a duly elected head of state from taking office, that’s a coup.)
There are differences, of course.
No children were hurt or killed at the Capitol on January 6, only adults.
And it wasn’t 75 long, agonizing, scream-filled minutes, it was much longer.
(And Uvalde’s mayor hadn’t himself incited the attack.)
House Republicans are so NOT troubled by Trump’s behavior, they voted overwhelmingly against investigating.
Indeed, have punished Liz Cheney.
But doesn’t it trouble most non-elected Republicans?
Just as Uvalde troubles all of us?

The report reviews the evidence as to whether Trump as a matter of law conspired with his outside counsel John Eastman, administration lawyer Jeffrey Clark, and others to defraud the United States in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 371, by scheming to block the electoral count on January 6, 2021 and to subvert the Department of Justice’s election enforcement work.
We similarly review the evidence as to whether Trump and Eastman violated 18 U.S.C. § 1512(c) with their scheme to obstruct the congressional count.
While this report is primarily focused on federal offenses, we also note evidence potentially probative of state criminal violations. Fulton County, Georgia is one jurisdiction currently investigating such evidence, and we briefly address the factual and legal analysis attendant to that investigation, which is also the subject of a separate report by some of the authors here.
Our review of well-established law and public record evidence as it exists today leads us to believe that there is substantial evidence of all the essential elements of those federal and state offenses and suggests there is a substantial basis for prosecutors to go forward.
