Well, dishes and recycling done. Had to get the recycling out before the elevator guys start messing with them tomorrow and Friday. One of those days I will have a long walk up.

Today we got a marine layer going, so it should be cool enough to finish off prepping a large part of one vegetable garden. Tomorrow I should be able to buy the plants (assuming there are any left at the nursery) and set them in. Then it's on to more yard cleanup. Have to be careful to stay hydrated and electrolyted (ya, I know, not a word) tho and be nice to my kidneys.

I more or less finished the shelving yesterday. I had a few extra last minute steps when looking at the wood I still had after they were done. I used extra 1x4's from some nice old pallets I had been using to build shelves for a few years left over and used them to double up on the 2x4 legs on the sides of the units. Then I had some 1/8" or 3/16" plywood that I had pulled off the back of a few of the cabinets I Dismantled and used that to cover up the sides of them. (To keep dust out, and to keep any snow getting onto the shelving during the winter when I'm snow blowing).
Then I decided to make some additional shelf platforms to insert above the side braces for the highest row of modular shelves to give myself a 33% boost to surface area on my shelves for smaller things that I can put at eye level. I've got those cleaned up totes for the lower levels and stuff that I rarely use or will be putting in the house when I get to some more remodeling will go up at the very top (like light fixtures and the rest of that bundle of roof shingles and my roofing supplies).
I already filled up my 3rd can that I technically shouldn't have with wood yesterday. They should have my other two cans emptied in a few hours.
I'm also going to be throwing out a crappy curio cabinet I'd been using in the garage for storage and taking off all of my weeding/bug stuff off a very lightweight/small metal shelf system and repurposing that in the basement.
Then I will take 3 of the scrap bench shelves I made years ago out of my basement and putting them in their place on the back wall. I don't need 9 benches worth of stuff in my basement at all times when I have a clean and organized garage. I'll just be keeping stuff that I regularly use in the house and things that would go bad in the extreme heat/cold down there from now on.
Hopefully I get everything organized today so I can start working on electric tomorrow.

Did manage to clear out most of one vegetable garden but I won't be able to pick up plants untill Saturday - I was going to run out this AM but forgot that I had a mid-morning phone appt, this afternoon is also committed to being at home,and tomorrow is committed.
Also, no more cool weather for the foreseeable future. Since I have to be nice to my kidneys, I'm going to change up my schedule. Instead of starting yardwork at 3:30-4:00 and dinner at 5-6, I'm going to start dinner at 3PM and yardwork at 5PM, when it's cooled down more.
And since I can't buy plants or set them in today, I'll work on the front yard instead.

Back from mah jong and errands in the rain. But at least I had some good luck at mah jong. Went out half a dozen times or more, so I finished the morning with over 5,000 points which means I got 1st place. Won about $10 too.
Also managed to get back about 5 minutes before the elevator guys turned off the only working one, so they could make sure it is running properly. That was a relief.
Stopped at my local library as well and picked up "The Eternals". It just came in for me after being on hold for a bit. And I picked up the 4th season of "Vikings" too.

Yeah. Not getting to the electric tomorrow, but progress was made.
Got the curio cabinet out with the trash. Got the three bench shelves up from the basement and set up in the garage. Did some lower wall repairs that I forgot needed to be done with my 1x8" wood. Can't get to the rest of them until I can move my large work bench. 2 more cans are full of junk wood and some of the final de-hoard.
I FINALLY got around to raising that 12 foot ladder so the bottom of it is level. No more splitting my head open on the base of it while I'm working. It's over 6 feet high now, so anybody I'd ever have over will never hit their heads on it again. It took some ingenuity and a bit more time than I thought it would, but doesn't everything.
1 of two work benches completely clear. The large one is about half clear and I will be able to clear it off once I organize and de-hoard what's on the new shelves.
I might mow the lawn tomorrow. I think I need to get out of that garage for a day. Breathing in a lot of dust, and I couldn't even keep the overhead door open today since the cotton seeds were blowing all over the place today.
