Quote:That's practical. The talking elevators at my health care facility say "Please stand clear of door" ... but nothing as useful a what floor you're on!!

"First floor, going up (or down)"?
BRENDA: Yup. Nothing that dramatic SIG.
It just says, "Lobby" when it reaches the lobby or "parking" when it gets to where the parking and garbage is. Coming back in today it said, "10th floor" when I got off on my floor which is 10.
Quote:Duncan, Duncam tsk tsk
Have to say that Duncan and Jimmy are quite the pair. Duncan is just a disaster and Jimmy is trying so hard.
Seems like Jimmy is always picking up the pieces from Duncan's bad decisions, including a wife and daughter.

The elevator I discovered today also says, "Going down". It probably did that the other day too but I might not have heard it.
And at the end of Season 5 that includes Jimmy investing in Duncan's bistro too. Along with Duncan's dumb jokes. Like at the end of Season 2, I think it was as they were talking about Cassie, saying, "I want a divorce." And now at the end of Season 5 calling Jimmy, "Mary" though I do love Jimmy's comeback, "Don't mention it Fran."

Lovely day out. Bright, sunny and slightly warmer than yesterday.

SIX, I had to look back and see what you wanted to do with rocks. How big are you talking about? River rocks? Boulders? Trying to picture.
River rocks. Standard size, I guess?

I just moved over 8,800 pounds of earth a few miles today all by myself. And I didn't even start until after 1 PM. I still got it.

Could have used a warmer day though. Really getting tired of winter holding on for so long. At least it wasn't raining or snowing though...

A word about rocks - they're hard to weed between/around.
I will be putting down fabric AND visqueen before the rocks go down. I know they won't hold up forever, but I should get quite a few years out of them before I have to start spraying the rocks for weeds.

Also, if you have voles, moles, ground squirrels etc accessing the tunnels can be rough. And any in-ground repair you might need to do would require moving them out if the way.
I have a plan for all of that. I'm literally ages away from actually being able to use any of the rocks yet, but I've got a huge sand pit to put them on for the time being while I shore up everything else. I simply couldn't pass up the deal today. Less than $2 per 48lb bag instead of $5 per bag is a no brainer.

But they DO look nice!
They'd better!

Happy Easter, Sigs and Brenda. I may just sleep right through it this year.

Thanks Brenda.
I really probably should just lay down today. I am in a bit of pain. But I've been waking up so early these days that I might not be able to get back to sleep now.
I forgot to do the conversions for you (you guys use meters and kilograms, right?)
I moved over 3992 kilograms of rocks yesterday that was 2.69 cubic meters.
My days in retail finally paid off with the chest-high stack I have out in the sand pit that is locked together in a brick pattern. An earthquake could hit us and I don't think it would fall into my house.

If you are in pain you should be taking it easy.
Canada does use metric but I still think in feet and stuff.
I was in my 20s before I sort of learned to convert feet into meters. That is quite a load you moved for sure.

Just another lazy Sunday by me.

Did the math and it was actually 9,120 pounds. I can't remember where I got 8,800 from.
Wouldn't have been as bad if I could have just unloaded it from the car, but there was no way I was going to try to get my car up on the driveway that people always bottom out on with all that weight in it, so I had to use my wagon to get it up my air-strip of a driveway and then about 50 feet through the sand pit before I could unload them, 200 lbs at a time.
I did go out to the garage and managed to get my tools back in my car and I dismantled 5 or 6 of the drawers from the old dressers and put the contents up on the new shelves I built before I just wasn't feeling it anymore and took a nap. Still feeling the desire to at least go out and finish getting rid of those dressers before I call it a day.
My friend's dad called to wish a happy Easter and see if I'd come back out tomorrow to paint those gutters I spent 9 hours scraping last week. I told him I'd have to see how I'm feeling. I think I want to put it off until at least Tuesday anyway since it's only going to be 44 degrees high tomorrow and Tuesday it will get to 49.
I'm hoping nothing else besides that comes up this week because I really need to get my garage put back together so I can start working on my car that still can't pass the emissions test.
