Donald Trump continues to peddle a counter-narrative in which he’s the victim.
Trump has encouraged a strange notion: that what really happened on January 6th is what Representative Matt Gaetz, of Florida, calls a Fedsurrection. The theory is convoluted, but the gist of it is that the deep state sent agents provocateurs into the crowd and led it to the Capitol with the goal of stopping what would otherwise have been an orderly and peaceful demonstration. Trump supporters have scoured footage from that day in a search for suspected Fedsurrectionists; Trump baselessly named one of their targets while speaking at a rally in Arizona, on January 15th. (Senator Ted Cruz, of Texas, named the same man in a Judiciary Committee hearing last month.)

Nah. He wasn't the victim. Trump will be fine.
We were all the victims. Even you.
But it's brought a lot of horrible things to light that would still be thriving in the shadows had Trump been President today, so even though it's been a rough year it will be good for us in the long run. Everybody gets to see what Democrats are now, and they're not happy.
And who isn't enjoying watching the death of CNN in real time?

Quote:During the Civil War, Lincoln was accused of being a tyrant and no better than a murderer and taking away America's freedoms. And that was Northerners. The Southerners said worse. Nobody acted decently about the first, second or third income tax laws signed by Lincoln. There were riots over the military draft. Lincoln's Commanding General of the Army -- General George B. McClellan -- tried to overthrow Lincoln. Things got that bad.

6ix, America had too many people back during the Civil War saying what you say now, "We are all the victims of Lincoln." Southerners said it first, before Lincoln was inaugurated then Northerners began saying it louder and louder until the Battle of Gettysburg was won. If that Battle had been lost, it would have been the end of Lincoln and the United States.

6ix, think about how many lives could have been saved if only Lincoln's first act as President (inaugurated on March 4, 1861) had been surrendering to Jefferson Davis (inaugurated on February 18, 1861 as provisional President of the Confederacy). Many Northerners would have been happier with Jeff Davis as their President. Peace is much better than a Civil War only Lincoln could have prevented. "We are all the victims of Lincoln" same as we are all the victims of Biden for not surrendering to Trump.

If Mike Pence deserves praise for asserting that he didn’t have authority to overthrow the American government on Jan 6th, I’d like to be recognized for the character it took not to rob a single bank I passed on the way to the grocery store.
Mike Pence was surrounded by a conspiracy to end democracy in America. He didn’t call the FBI. He didn’t alert the public. He waited to see if it would succeed. When it was clear it would fail, at the last minute he threw in with the winning side.
Until Mike Pence asserts aggressively, consistently and without equivocation that he and Trump lost a fair election, he should be considered for what he is: a liar attacking American democracy. Saying he couldn't overturn election is not saying it was a fair election he lost.
The press is desperate for a "normal" GOP. One guy, Mike Pence, who holds no office, is hardly a bellwether of the party. So tired of the lionization of Pence by the Press for him doing the barest of minimums over a year later.

Yeah. So what? Lincoln was probably a piece of shit.
I don't believe anything they teach in school outside of math.
Go take your opinions and bounce on them.

Certainly, history has to respect Booth, a man who benefited from slavery and hated the liberals of his day -- the abolitionists disrespecting the right to own slaves. If you could have talked to Booth, he would explain for hours his moral superiority. Almost the entire population of the Confederacy and many Northerners in slave-owning states such as Kentucky and Maryland would agree that Lincoln was a hideous monster who didn't respect their rights or the laws higher than those written by Mankind.

I'm sure Booth was a piece of shit too.
The only difference between you and Booth is that he actually followed through on what you fantasized about doing for 4 years while Trump was President.
We have your fan-fic about it that you deleted archived in case you ever want to see it.
