So at this end, I've been chipping away at cooking, cleanup, and regular weekly chores (that have turned into every three-week chores.)
Well, yesterday I took the dog for a slightly longer walk, sorted the mail, binned up all the recycling, watered and trimmed the houseplants, wrote up a new menu to account for the fact that I can cook for two more days than expected, and made Philly cheese steak and salad for dinner.
Still not eating meat, it tastes too terrible to choke down, but I'm going to add bland veggies (green beans, corn, carrots, cucumber, zucchini... that kind of stuff) to my dinner.
Today the plan is to vacuum around the edges of all of the rooms/ under furniture and then tomorrow probably get the big vacuum cleaner and do everything else.
Dinner today for hubby is sauerkraut, sausage, onion, carrot, and potato, a simple on-pot meal.

I know it's just a closet, but I can't help myself doing more than needs to be done with things like this and the interior of the kitchen cabinets.
I'm hoping that down the road when it comes time to sell that people will see the little things like this and realize that a lot of craftsmanship went into this place.

Some of the fog has burned off and there is some sun now that I am home. Still nice to see.
Got the garbage out and for a bit I could hear the guys working on the elevator.
Also had an ambulance in front of the building when I got in today. Don't know what happened.

Anyway, I super-cleaned everything up and put some teflon tape around the glass shades where the bayonet fittings are, so with any luck I won't have that problem again.
But there's some other problem I may need to deal with tonight or very early tomorrow. Wait and see.
