The CDC did and still continues to lie about Covid.

Trump was less moderate than you. In his version of the "Truth", everybody, not just the CDC, was lying. The Media was lying. The Democrats were lying. The Doctors were lying. Why were they lying? To stop Trump from being reelected. Everybody was lying except for Trump says Trump. Ever wonder where Trump learned the "Truth"? From European History!

A "big lie" with roots in history

In rallies across the country, Trump continues to hammer on the fiction that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him.

Speaking at a rally in Georgia in September, Trump trumpeted his familiar, baseless claim that the election was "corrupt" and "rigged."

"I have no doubt that we won, and we won big," Trump said. "The headlines claiming that Biden won are fake news — and a very big lie."

A couple of weeks later, he repeated the fiction at a rally in Iowa. "We didn't lose," he insisted to a crowd that rewarded him with chants of "Trump won!"

By inverting the narrative, attempting to slough off the "big lie" and pin it instead on his opponents, Trump exploited an age-old tactic, says Yale University history professor Timothy Snyder.

"Part of the character of the 'big lie' is that it turns the powerful person into the victim," he says. "And then that allows the powerful person to actually exact revenge, like it's a promise for the future."

Snyder, author of the books The Road to Unfreedom and On Tyranny, has spent years studying the ways tyrants skewer truth. Snyder points to Hitler's original definition of the "big lie" in his manifesto, Mein Kampf and the ways he used it to blame Jews for all of Germany's woes.

"The lie is so big that it reorders the world," Snyder says. "And so part of telling the big lie is that you immediately say it's the other side that tells the big lie. Sadly, but it's just a matter of record, all of that is in Mein Kampf."

A lie that's become embedded in public opinion

Over the past year, Trump's lie that election fraud cost him the White House has become firmly anchored in public opinion.

Yup. Although plenty of doctors don't agree with the narrative, but they get banned from social media for it.

Didn't read the rest of your dumb bullshit.

But have you heard Trump's "The River of Blood" story? Here it is:

Trump bought the course in Virginia — now renamed the Trump National Golf Club — back in 2009, and got to work getting it up to The Trump Standard. That included building a flagpole along the river complete with a plaque commemorating the "River of Blood," a dramatic name for a harrowing event that never happened. But the plaque begged to differ:

"Many great American soldiers, both of the North and South, died at this spot," the inscription reads. "The casualties were so great that the water would turn red and thus became known as 'The River of Blood.'"

This actually sounds like it was dictated by Trump, who in a phone interview with the Times called himself "a big history fan." Reporters from the paper told him they'd spoken with multiple local historians, all of whom said there was no Civil War battle within 11 miles of the plaque. The exchange that followed was quintessentially Trumpian:

"That was a prime site for river crossings," Mr. Trump said. "So, if people are crossing the river, and you happen to be in a civil war, I would say that people were shot — a lot of them."

People crossed there, so surely, if there was a war, people were shot while crossing. It just makes sense. But he continued:

"How would they know that?" Mr. Trump asked when told that local historians had called his plaque a fiction. "Were they there?"

How else could they know? It's not like there are writings and contemporary accounts from the time, and anyway, who would read them?

Mr. Trump repeatedly said that "numerous historians" had told him that the golf club site was known as the River of Blood. But he said he did not remember their names. Then he said the historians had spoken not to him but to "my people." But he refused to identify any underlings who might still possess the historians' names.

"Write your story the way you want to write it," Mr. Trump said finally, when pressed unsuccessfully for anything that could corroborate his claim. "You don't have to talk to anybody. It doesn't make any difference. But many people were shot. It makes sense."

He's probably trolling you.

If Democrats can make up bullshit history like the 1619 Project, let's just all lie about history and make it whatever we want it to be.

Did we land on the moon? Who knows? Who gives a shit.

Did anything in the Bible actually happen? Who knows? Who gives a shit.

Did the Civil War really happen? Who knows? Who gives a shit.

Maybe it was really the River of Blood because that's where all the women went to bleed out before Earl Haas invented the tampon because he got tired of his wife bleeding all over everything.

The destruction of history is part of the globalist agenda. Whether it is destroying statues or making shit up, it's equally appalling. If you don't know what happened, you can never learn.

Studying history is like watching the media: you don't believe (or disbelieve) bc ppl "say so". You have to place it at a distance and try to figure out WHAT ACTUALLY happened/is happening. Part of that is judging the agenda of the people telling the stories ("cui bono?).

If you don't, you will be constantly adrift and caught by surprise by future events.

According to my nurses, the hospital is very short-staffed. Part of that is holiday vacations but part of that is an upsurge in "cases", mostly Omicron.

Nobody has been hospitalized, as far as they know, but being medical professionals with positive test results, they have to isolate at home. Of course, they mandate hand sanitizing and paper masks, but that doesn't seem to stop Omicron. For me, I still wear my N95s whenever I go out.

We live in post-truth society. A lot of folk will tell you that this is a new phenomenon, but I'd wager that it's been going on for longer than most if not all of the oldest living people were first born.

There is no reason to believe that anything we learned in history class in school ever happened. Every 5 years the history books become completely unrecognizable to the high school class that came before them. Sure, it's gotten completely out of hand in recent times, but this is nothing new. And what does it really matter at all if the history you were taught when you were in school was just a bunch of made up bullshit anyhow?

History is something that we are all doomed to repeat on an infinite loop.

TPTB are fully aware of this, because they made it so.

And don't trick yourself into thinking for a second that those days are over because we have so much video footage of things today.

We see everyday how easy it is for that to be erased if it's against the current narrative.

And with deep fake technology becoming so believable, you're not even going to be able to tell lies from reality on any of the video footage you watch.

We may already be at that point now.

Look at what some talented people can do to footage from their basements:

Well, if you look at the Bible or any of the Sacred Texts, I guess you can say "post truth" has been going on for Millenia! OUR sacred texts happen to be the M$M, TV shows, and social media! They tell us what is happening, what our society looks like, what is important... all (mostly) falsely, I'm afraid.

It is a rare person indeed who tries to look beyond that.

Globalist agenda? That was a hilarious misdirection, Signym. Your so-called "destruction of history" is a very simpleminded process: “Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'” - Isaac Asimov

There are many more quotes about anti-intellectualism at
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/tag/anti-intellectualism but here are two relevant to Covid-19:

“Celebrities and influencers are not health experts, stop taking medical advice from halfwits of wellness.”

“Stop being a two-bit doctor from ten minutes of googling.”
