Any particular menu you have in mind?

What snow we got here was washed away by the rain. So we shall see if we get anymore tonight. Weather people are calling for a white Christmas. But who knows.
I went to a local White Spot and ordered a small portion of fish and chips. It was very good.

Have my Christmas dinner going today because even thought I am going out tomorrow, I will have to eat before I eat. My boss and her husband give me a time to come over and say we'll be having supper at 5pm. We never do. So I imagine it will be the same tomorrow even though their son, daughter in law and latest grandchild will be there along with another family.

Well, the snow has stayed, so it is boots, cane and possibly umbrella when I go out to my boss'.

Well, I tried something different this Xmas: I made rib-eye roast. (It was on sale. Even then, it was an intimdatingly expensive piece of meat.)
Never having made it before, I consulted a half-dozen online recipes- they all said something different! but I settled on an internal temp of 130F - checked my TWO meat thermometers to make sure they worked and read the same temp, and roasted it to medium rare to medium (depending on which slice I took) and the family LOVED it!
Also had asparagus, cauliflower Polonaise (with buttered bread crumbs) - and for dear daughter, since she can't eat crucifers, shirataki noodles with Alfredo sauce, cherry pie, and eggnog for desert.
Dog shared our dinner. She was so replete she just lay down and digested!
That is the last big, rich meal for a while! Just planning charcuterie, crackers, the traditional pickled herring, and champagne for New Year's Eve, but it's gonna be healthy eating from now on!

Got back from my boss' and dinner was okay. Sitting down to dinner was late as per usual but it got me out and that was a good thing.

I noticed that you're going out for mahjong, meeting friends for lunch, taking yourself out for meals, and going out for dinner, and I can't help compare this to how limited things were under Covid resstrictions and, before that, in your dreary basement rental! It seems to me that altho I know you still have health problems and restrictions, you have a cozy place to call home, and friends and enjoyable activities, and I can't help but hope that your new year will be even better.
Cheers!

It was good.
Have keep myself occupied. And I was more limited the year before with the restrictions. Yeah, that place was bad. Ah yes the lingering after effects of the brain tumour. Things that will never go away. I am in a much and I stress much better place with all that is going on. Oh, I still get my bouts of depression and have to beat it off with a stick.
I look forward to my walks and meals out, mah jong, seeing my friend that I've known since high school.
I hope so. I still have my writing and trying to find a publisher. *fingers crossed* on that one. *L* But I enjoy trying to figure things out for it.
So, I guess you could say that I am reasonable.

Lazy Sunday for me looking at the snow outside. My area is in to the minuses as far as temps go. Unusual for here. Temps like these are seen up in the Interior or Yukon, NWT, Nunavut and farther east like Alberta and such. *L*
Have to see when it is going to warm up again.

Lovely mild weather here- bushfire risk very low due to La Niña - which is just as well after the past couple of years. Hope everyone is safe and doing ok
