I get that SECOND. I too am concerned the justice department is taking a back seat and not going after Trump the way I think they should. I hope they do but I can’t be sure. Garland seems a bit meek to me. I hope I’m wrong. I feel he may be looking towards the future and ramifications of charging Trump rather than at his guilt.

Biden Signs Bill Letting Capitol Police Chief Call In National Guard
The president also has authority to call in the National Guard, but troops did not arrive at the Capitol until hours after then President Donald Trump's supporters breached the building. It remains unclear exactly what caused the delay, though Trump claimed he "immediately" ordered the National Guard to "expel the intruders" on January 6.
Under existing policy, the Capitol Police chief was required to seek approval from a four-member board that oversees the police force to get National Guard assistance.
A June report on the January 6 attack found security failures “clearly demonstrated the need for the Chief of the U.S. Capitol Police to have more unilateral flexibility to quickly request assistance in an emergency.”

Jim Jordan 'Very Scared' as 1/6 Committee Seeks Info on Trump Calls, Fellow Lawmaker Says
The select committee investigating the Capitol riot sent a letter to Jordan on Wednesday requesting that he voluntarily discuss his communication with Trump. In the letter, Representative Bennie Thompson, chairman of the committee, said the committee is aware of at least one and "possible multiple" communications Jordan had with Trump on January 6.
