Hey Mike; suggestion accepted. It may take some time (I don't seem to be able to change my "generated" signature sometimes, so have to do it manually with every post). I was able to change it recently and it's good to get back to not having to do it every time. So I'll kill the codes at the end and try to change it to that; we'll see how long it takes me!
I almost never "reply with quote" myself, so I didn't think about the fact that people had to do that every time.
Don't worry about the mental fart; we all have them. Think I just had one in another post...oh, yeah, it was the "How can I prove I'm not Taliban" I think. Sometimes we have no power over where our brains go...it's like they have a mind of their own... 
I'll give it a try...let's see if it works:

Doing my own test... your reply to yourself still came out gray, as if it was in a quote.
Yeah, I generally do what Mike says - delete all the formatting when I reply. I do this in general because these mammoth signatures make threads so much longer than they need to be. Especially with the graphics. You have to hunt to find the actual material of the post.
Hey, I like personal expression, I just don't need to see the signatures a million times. (No offense meant!
) ETA: still gray. Why the heck?
Edited again: A-ha! When your post is quoted, an extra /font color is needed to get back to white font. You might just add an extra at the end of your sig.
