I know it's talk story ish but I wanted to post here, where people are trapped, like quicksand.

The personal attacks on Joss are cancel culture moving to delete everything he made because it's white libertarian alt right, no matter how much mindless leftism Whedon and his crew post. The new left is an entirely different animal, and those whose instincts failed them might continue to download the programming and rebroadcast it, simply because they're using the same information sources. Collectively, what creators and fans alike are doing by mindless metooism is destroying their own culture and the things which make them relevant, to benefit their own enemies.

The culture of the shows is the shared beliefs of its creators then, not now. If they simply assassinate Joss, they bury Firefly, Serenity, Buffy, Angel, Dollhouse and even the recent Avengers. (and Dr. Horrible, and Cabin in the Woods, et al) But this will also be pretty much the only things any of them are in, so they also all become irrelevant.

I see whedonesque got canceled. I actually first went to imdb boards, and then to whedonesque, but I was creating an account for their forum and I was very tired that night and fell asleep, I woke up the next day only to find they'd closed new accounts that day, and I couldn't finish the sign up, so I came here.

Currently I'm watching the dreaded remaster of Buffy (it's not at all bad, the "hate this" is part of the cancel culture) It's just so good, but it has to go to the trash now because we need woke garbage with anal buggering on screen.
