Prosecutors wanted to present two videos taken of Rittenhouse in the weeks leading up to the shooting, arguing that they provided "crucial insight" into the teenager's state of mind in summer 2020. Kenosha County Circuit Judge Bruce Schroeder disagreed in both instances.
One of the videos, which circulated widely on social media, showed Rittenhouse punching a girl from behind. Another video, filmed across the street from a CVS Pharmacy, showed hooded people rushing out of the store clutching items. Rittenhouse's voice could be heard saying, "Bro, I wish I had my fucking AR. I'd start shooting rounds at them."

It's one thing to shoot gooks running away from a helicopter ... you can take time to pick your targets and aim.
It's another to shoot when a mob is chasing you and one is pointing a weapon at you.
I know there are various legal limits on self defense in various states. Not sure of the applicable law in this state, but IMHO some of the limits that I've seen require far more cool-headedness than I would expect of the average civilian.
When faced with - literally- an enraged mob (a mob which, apparently, mistakenly believes that you just shot somebody) there is no hope of self defense unless you have a gun.
If Rittenhouse REALLY wanted to kill libtards, he would have positioned himself on a tall building, and started picking people off, like any sensible mass shooter. Yanno, like you shooting from a helicopter.
So instead of grinding on and on with your obsession about Rittenhouse's supposed motives ... and you have a consistent history of being wrong with your "mind reading" ... you should look at his actions.
The evidence. There's a lot of it. What does it say?
The 29-second video, which has been published by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, does not show Rittenhouse's face. The video was apparently filmed across the street from a CVS Pharmacy, where several hooded people could be seen rushing out and clutching items.
A voice that sounds like Rittenhouse's can be heard saying, "Bro, I wish I had my f---ing AR. I'd start shooting rounds at them."
In their motion on Wednesday, Prosecutors wrote that the new video, taken just 15 days before the Kenosha shootings, showed Rittenhouse "saw something, jumped to a conclusion based on exactly zero facts, and then threatened to kill someone based on his baseless assumption and wrongful interpretation."
Prosecutors added that Rittenhouse didn't know the people outside the CVS or what they were doing, was merely watching from a vehicle parked across the street, and was not interacting with anyone involved.
"The video proves that the defendant was ready and willing to use deadly force in a situation where it was completely unjustified," the motion said.
"The video also demonstrates that the defendant fervently sought to insert himself as an armed vigilante into situations that had nothing to do with him," prosecutors added.

Quote:Rittenhouse said he would kill his victims with his AR-15 and he did. The Judge wouldn't allow Rittenhouse's killing words entered as evidence of murder because Rittenhouse didn't say the words where his victims could hear them. The Judge is a senile old fool, by which I mean he is the oldest and longest serving judge in the state, letting the jury hear a boatload of false testimony about Rittenhouse "protecting" himself. There was zero proof that Rittenhouse was protecting himself. No proof that the dead people had killed before. No proof the dead people wanted to kill anyone or have ever killed anyone before, during or after. But there was plenty of proof (the AR-15, his words, his associations, his politics, his t-shirts, his being where he should not be) that Rittenhouse went there to kill people. And then there are the corpses to prove Rittenhouse did kill people.

Quote:The bit about a gun pointed "at this head" might be an exaggeration. Maybe in the general direction of is more like what I've read.
I have seen the one-armed bandit EMT testify, under oath, in this trial, that he did in fact have a handgun and pointed it at Kyle's head ...
I'm curious about the protocol of self defense.
If I sight on you, but then move my gun to aim at something else, what's the timeline for it to count as self defense?
So, if I sight on you then aim at something else, obviously if you shoot me 5 days later, it's not self defense because I'm not am imminent threat. How about 5 minutes? Or 5 seconds? At what point is it reasonably thought of as self defense instead of murder?
Also, what seems to be missing from a lot of these stories is the complete set of facts. Everyone seems to be picking and choosing the parts they want to include in their narrative, while leaving the rest of the facts out.

Because you said you'd kill him and get away with it and feed his body to the pigs.

Quote:What is missing is how the Constitution recently gave childish Kyle Rittenhouse the right to kill his political enemies and such killing was renamed self-defense.

Amendment II -- A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
Much has changed since 1791. The traditional militia fell into desuetude, and state-based militia organizations were eventually incorporated into the federal military structure. The nation’s military establishment has become enormously more powerful than eighteenth century armies. We still hear political rhetoric about federal tyranny, but most Americans do not fear the nation’s armed forces and virtually no one thinks that an armed populace could defeat those forces in battle. Furthermore, eighteenth century civilians routinely kept at home the very same weapons they would need if called to serve in the militia, while modern soldiers are equipped with weapons that differ significantly from those generally thought appropriate for civilian uses. Civilians no longer expect to use their household weapons for militia duty, although they still keep and bear arms to defend against common criminals (as well as for hunting and other forms of recreation).
Until recently, the judiciary treated the Second Amendment almost as a dead letter. In District of Columbia v. Heller (2008), however, the Supreme Court invalidated a federal law that forbade nearly all civilians from possessing handguns in the nation’s capital. A 5–4 majority ruled that the language and history of the Second Amendment showed that it protects a private right of individuals to have arms for their own defense, not a right of the states to maintain a militia.
Two years later, in McDonald v. City of Chicago (2010), the Court struck down a similar handgun ban at the state level, again by a 5–4 vote. Four Justices relied on judicial precedents under the Fourteenth Amendment’s Due Process Clause. Justice Thomas rejected those precedents in favor of reliance on the Privileges or Immunities Clause, but all five members of the majority concluded that the Fourteenth Amendment protects against state infringement of the same individual right that is protected from federal infringement by the Second Amendment.
Many issues remain open, and the lower courts have disagreed with one another about some of them, including important questions involving restrictions on carrying weapons in public.
