Like I said, it was a melee, with guns.
People were chasing Rittenhouse because they thought he was an "active shooter", but Rittenhouse didn't actually shoot until AFTER he was being chased. It was somebody else, who fired into the air, that seemed to set off the chase.
There is a lot of video evidence, very little of which has been made public and timelined.
Is it murder to chase someone while holding a gun? Is it murder to raise your gun in someone's direction? (Once upon a time we were mocycling off-road and came across a group of plinkers, and when I looked back I saw someone sighting their gun on us. It made me so mad I wanted to beat the crap outta that a-hole, just bc of his sheer stupidity. But of course, I couldn't bc ... they had guns. And they were probably drunk.)
That would be - I dunno - assault, maybe. Whatever charge you can bring against someone for threatening with a gun.
But then, what idiot tries to grab a gun from who you think is an active shooter? A would-be hero?
It's all a clusterfuck. I would love to see the evidence for myself.
