I think we may have lost a friend / Sister

I knew Sister as a founding member of the 76th Battalion... there may be other reasons she has been quiet, including that she wants to focus on her health, but I cannot find her posting anywhere. I have been absent from this site for ages, but I do check in from time to time... I made a lot of friends on here, many of them still very dear and loyal friends - I met one of my dearest friends who asked me to be Godmother to her sons, and another asked me to be her bridesmaid when she married... I met a boyfriend (past) and people whom I consider family on here! Never say never... if Sister is coping with health or other things in her life she might be having a sabbatical from Social Media. I hope and pray she is OK, and that her family is also doing well. This virus has been cruel and horrific to those who have had it severely. It has not been kind to anyone, honestly, and I pray we learn to live with it in a considerate and compassionate way, if only to honour those who have not survived the initial onslaught.

To all concerned:
My beautiful wife, known here as Sister, Passed on October 27, 2021.
She did not have Cancer, nor did she succumb to COVID. She had suffered multiple strokes and seizures over the last 18 months. I held her in my arms as she took her last breath.
She is no longer suffering the indignities that each successive stroke brought. She was the light of my life, and will be missed beyond measure.

I'm sorry to hear of her passing.
I do sometimes wonder about these relationships we make online and how we'd manage to find out what happened when someone goes quiet, or how folks who knew me would find out if something happened to me. So thank you very much for sharing the news with everyone.

It sounds like she was a wonderful person. You were blessed to have found someone and to be with somebody as kind as she always appeared to be on this site. Carry her light with you.
