My students finished reviewing for their final exam early yesterday and I gave them a choice of things we could start watching instead of just letting them sit around and be idle.

Choices were:
Lost Skeleton of Cadavra
Firefly Disc 1
2001: A Space Odyssey

My 4th period chose Firefly. I was stoked! And while not all of them were watching it intently, one student pipes up part way through...

Student: "Mr. Nelson, this is a TV show?!

Me: "Yup! Sure was!"

Student: "Wow. They really paid a lot of attention to details and stuff!"

I was thrilled that someone genuinely felt that Firefly had more of a movie feel to it than a TV show. :) Just had to share my shiny moment.
