I never got Mink Car, borrowed it and enjoyed some of it, but disliked more of the songs that didn't really stand out so much.
The Spine, however, has some truly fantastic tracks and it's only shortcoming is... well.. that it's short. Whatever happened to the days of 19 or 20 songs per album? Two of the songs on The Spine are only 30 seconds long too, so it's not lengthy at all.
I do strongly recommend it though. Experimental Film (with Homestarrunner video), Wearing a Raincoat, Thunderbird, Museum of Idiots, Au Contraire, Damn Good Times.. there is much to love about this release. The only song I really can't stand, and I mean I can't make it through a whole listen, is Bastard Wants to Hit Me - which totally abuses the Tween-pop-electronic-voice-effect thing. I wonder if I might actually like it if it was sung normally.

Been meaning to get back to this thread...
TMBG fans who have offspring of a young age, or just like all TMBG, there's a new CD out in February, Here Come the ABC's.
I've heard a few of the songs and their cartoon vids on TV, and they really are quite catchy.
E Eats Everything, and Can You Find It? are all I've heard so far, and they are so likeable.
Does anyone have the BED BED BED book and CD?
I saw a interview with Linnell on Screen Savers or one of those tech shows a while back and Leo was swearing "Bed" was the greatest.

Er...I meant that.
I did say cartoons I didn't I? *looking*
OK, I did. I just wasn't clear about what I was saying AT ALL. Thanks for clearing me up :D.
If you can sit through a days worth of Playhouse Disney programming you can see a couple of the videos between the shows. *shudders* It can be rough. Just avert your eyes when the Wiggles come on because they rot your brain. I'm barely living proof.
So I'm thinking I should get "Bed" then. Neat.

I have a two year old nephew and a niece on the way!
Oh, and I can't hear the name "Wiggles" without thinking of that guy on The Pretender!

I saw TMBG in concert, it was great, they had some Dave Matthews coverband called Greystreet open for them.
Lol "the wiggles"? I sing that one song from the show about potatoes just to annoy my brother. He says they are star trek rejects, lol who couldn't get a job so they just dress like trekies.
Keep shiny!
