Can cities be fixed? Are many Large US or Western cities on verge of collapse...are former Utopia's Doomed? Can they be saved or is About to Fall Apart? Typically a dozen or so shot ever weekend, some killed many injured now its 3 Mass Shooting in one weekend, over 100 shot. The poverty thing...Neocon Republicans obsessed with outsourcing everything American also caused some of this mess but Detroit, Baltimore, Chicago, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Oakland and places like Memphis were all once great cities by now run by New-Democrat idiots, the Neo-Liberal. NPR think it could take a while to clean it all up 'San Francisco’s streets are so filthy that at least one infectious disease expert has compared the city to some of the dirtiest slums in the world.The NBC Bay Area Investigative Unit surveyed 153 blocks of the city in February, finding giant mounds of trash and food on the majority of streets. Poverty seem to be one of the biggest influence on society going to shit followed to crime gangs and drugs taking over an area. Republicans are not without balem, big into NeoCon Globalism outscoursing Low Tech, Industrial Jobs and High Tech Manufacturing, industrial hubs scattered along the Great Lakes, Cleveland would be another that has faced economic desolation.
Some people blame gun culture, some black black rapper gangster culture, some blame rock heavy metal music making kids shoot things others blame atheist and apathy some blame all sorts of stuff but very few have answers.
Chicago was once known for education, religion, broadcasting, sports, jazz, and high culture and maybe less greed? maybe, it was a center of production, science and manufacturing, it has become a rotten crime hole. Parts of Portland, Detroit, Florida City in Florida State, Baltimore Maryland, Detroit in Michigan, McKeesport Pennsylvania following the same path, Memphis now ranks as one of most dangerous city in America, people moved San Francisco to Oakland to avoid insane property prices but the crimes came with them, New Orleans, LA another center of crime.....
I don't know if Culture fixes this stuff over night I am also reluctant to blame any violence on movies or rap music or video games ... but there could be something to an Anti-Social thing, Broken Window Theory. I don't believe there is one answer, parts of Europe in the East have terrible levels of domestic violence, Acapulco Mexico, Caracas Venezuela, the Middle East are crime terror holes, they have some of the worst murders, terrorisma nd crimes, they don't do drugs or drink in the Middle East, they don't listen to 'Rap' despite they had an old culture and history. A sad fact is now the Democrats are messing up big time and some of the Worst Cities in America Are Ones Being Run By Neo-Liberal Regressive Left Democrats ...

Necessary productive jobs at living wages for everyone who can work. "Idle hands = devil's workshop"
Job training and education.
Equal opportunity.
Big ass police force, focusing on the gang enforcers. Prison time away from "homies".
There are some programs that successfully reduce recidivism, but sorry to say many can't be reprogrammed.
Reward good behavior, punish bad behavior.

Well, the current mayor is a real horror show: a black witch who blames everything on "racism".
Apparently violence really took off when the housing projects were torn down. That took geographically-stable gangs and scattered them across the city, where they started fighting each other.
But hey, the only way to stop the violence is to bring the so-called "Black community" gang culture back into mainstream America by rewarding good behavior and punishing bad, on an equal basis for everyone.
