Comeback Trail looks quite good - reminds me of something that I can't recall the specifics of. Looks like wonderful cast. Maybe I'm thinking of a Donald E. Westlake template.

The new Escape Room looks interesting.

Possibly also Night Room and The Protege.

Green Knight, 30 July.

Haven't really understood what it's about, but the cast includes Alicia Vikander. So I expect to be entertained, and charmed.

I see that Jaynez mentioned Dune on March 31st.

I wasn't even aware that they were doing a remake until I watched a JoeBlo WTF Happened To This Movie about the 1984 flick that I remember trying to watch once or twice as a kid but never got into.

It sounds like the studio heads really screwed Lynch over on that flick. He wanted the movie to be broken into parts back then, but they wouldn't allow it. Even though Star Wars had done that successfully, it just really wasn't a thing that was done back in the 80s.

The new one is being broke into 2 parts. It could be good... But since it looks like they're not going to bother even beginning filming on the 2nd part until after they figure out if anybody is going to pay to see the 1st part, we could be left with another Alita situation.

Give me liberty or just come shoot me in my house. I'm so over this ridiculous reality.

Saw trailer for Don't Breathe 2. Looked interesting.

Also saw Trailer for Last Night In Soho. Seems to be horror or murder mystery, or thriller.

The Tomorrow War was a huge letdown after a promising beginning.

I went into it cold... My old man wanted to see it when he visited.

Not the worst action flick I've ever seen and the special effects were good. But it ranks pretty high on the dumbest time travel movies I've ever seen.

My old man called one of the major plot points an hour before it happened... And when it looked like he was wrong I didn't say anything because I thought that might be intentional and yup... it was. He was right, and I was right about him being right when it looked like he was wrong. *yawn*

He usually doesn't talk through a movie either, but he kept saying how stupid they were all being and wasting the whole time travel element of the plot. He wasn't wrong. A lot of stuff that happened only happened because the movie needed it to happen.

The movie's biggest sin, IMO, was wasting The Hunt's badass Betty Gilpin in the do-nothing mother role in a movie where there is ass kicking to do. I guess they already had Chuck's Yvonne Strahovski to fill that role. At least it was nice seeing her again.

It doesn't appear to have been on anybody's must-see list for 2021 here. It should probably stay that way. It probably could have been a short-term substitute for the Edge of Tomorrow sequel if it was done right. But it wasn't.

At least there wasn't any woke bullshit in it.

Other than that, typical Hollywood blockbuster schlock full of stuff you've seen done better before, with a 2+ hour runtime it doesn't earn.

4/10.

ETA: If you want to see a similar action flick that was done a hell of a lot better and was far more entertaining, I'd recommend Evolution from 2001.

And he who is not sufficiently courageous to defend his soul — don’t let him be proud of his ‘progressive’ views, and don’t let him boast that he is an academician or a people’s artist, a distinguished figure or a general. Let him say to himself: I am a part of the herd and a coward. It’s all the same to me as long as I’m fed and kept warm.

I don't see any theaters showing Comeback Trail. Bummer - it looks worthwhile.

Apparently Black Widow wasn't on anybody's must-see list for 2021.

Looks like ScarJo is suing Disney.

They both suck, but I'll always back the individual over the corporation, so you've got my half-hearted, literally meaningless support JoJo.

Sounds like The Matrix 4: Ressurrections is coming 22 Dec.

Some new additions to cast.

That's three too many so far.

It would be hard for them to hurt the original movie any more than they already did, but then again they were brothers the last time we saw a Matrix entry.

If they're Bruce Jenner Trans, we might not have to worry about it woking out.
