Not sure how true all this is

That weird dark abusive period of Canadian Indian residential schools, the method to change American Indian kids and put them into the new Canada system. Roman Catholic church and Methodist and Canada Government involved? Methodism originated movement within the 18th-century Church of England and became a separate denomination after Wesley's death. The movement spread throughout the British Empire, the United States, and beyond because of vigorous missionary work, it has 80 million followers that go after the teachings of teachings of John Wesley. George Whitefield and John's brother Charles Wesley, the Vatican in rome is known for its links to pedophiles and criminals, the Canadian Residential schools were perhaps part of Canada's colonial past but did not close until the 90s, 215 Bodies at Indigenous School is probably 'Not an Isolated Incident'.

Part of an overall cross-Canada network of residential schools created to forcibly assimilate Indigenous children by removing them from their homes and communities, and forbidding them from speaking their native languages or performing cultural practices. Reports said: “Every Indian student smelled of hunger.” The school was described as being cold in winter and unsanitary. The last federally operated residential school, Gordon's Indian Residential School in Punnichy, Saskatchewan, was closed in 1996 but these Schools operated in almost every province and almost every Canadian territory.

Janyeztown, I am going to tell you the same thing I told JSF. The US is NOT! innocent in residential schools. You down there just cover it up and won't even think about it.

As for this statue, it doesn't matter to me but if he was the architect of that system then he should go. All children should learn about who started that system and yes that Sir John A. was involved.

Time for Canada to totally take the blinders off.

Crispy critters JSF. That is short for Sir John A. MacDonald the first Prime Minister of Canada.

He is usually referred to that way by a lot of Canadians. Say "Sir John A." and I would say that most Canadians know who you are referring to.
