Supposedly, there is legislation trying to ban Passports in 40 states, meaning that I've missed 8 of them if this article is correct.

Of course, we can't expect any links as proof or even a list of states they're claiming to go off of. It's not like anybody in the media ever has to show any proof when they write a headline.
ETA: New Hampshire added today, so that still leaves 7 states that I haven't found info on that are being claimed by this story.
Funny Side Note: The above story that I linked can be found literally all over the internet right now, word for word, on many different websites trying to pass themselves off as legitimate news outfits. The "Past 24 Hours" google filter on "ban" "vaccine passport" showed that exact story 4 times in the first 5 pages of results.

(4/29/2021): After bouncing around the bill between the Senate and House for weeks, they finally agreed on passage of the bill on Thursday the 29th. The final version of the bill would impose fines of up to $5,000 per incident of schools or businesses requiring vaccination status. It passed the Senate 23-15, and then the house by 78-36. When it is signed by Gov. DeSantis, it makes Florida the first state to have legally protected the full Constitutional rights of its citizens without need for the Executive Order.

There... that's much cleaner. 
I'm sure I'll still tweak it here and there, but most of the copy editing is done now and it should be a lot more readable. The time stamps should help too.
ETA: Added the list of states I haven't found any info on yet. I never specifically looked for any of these, but my searches so far haven't revealed anything. The only exception to that would be Illinois, but they don't seem to know what they're doing at all.

I find it interesting that some states seem to be completely oblivious of this argument and seem to be living in a bubble. Specifically Delaware... but I assume that when I dig deeper there are a few more.
Their local news isn't saying anything at all about it either way. Out of the first 4 local papers I saw on Google in Delaware, only one even had a search result for "passport, and it was an old AP story about what vaccine passports are.
Connecticut seems to be just echoing Biden's line about it, although the governor flat out admits he fully expects businesses to do the heavy lifting for him.
These are the states that I don't have stories for yet:

Massachusetts
Mississippi
Nevada
New Mexico
Oklahoma
Oregon
Vermont
Virginia
West Virginia
I'll be looking into them deeper as the days go on when I get time. I know Illinois is on board, and most people could probably venture a good guess the way the wind is blowing in the other states on the list.
I'm just surprised that in all the day's I've looked at this that these states haven't come up on Google yet.
