The Black Sea and Sea of Azov are STILL interdicted to USA warships.
This was just NATO putting on a show bc they got caught flat-footed when 200,000 troops showed up on Russia's western border.
Some people have commented that there were a whole bunch of things that were supposed to happen at the same time: Assasination of Belarus' President Lukashenko and a coup, Ukraine invasion of DPR/LPR, mass demonstrations for Navalny, and the Czech accusation and expulsion of Russian diplomats etc which was supposed to distract and destabilize Putin but some things never happened and the timing was off on other things. Seeing their "master plan" fall apart, neocons are now looking for a timeout which will allow them to recoup and regroup. So Biden and Zelenskiy are hoping for a summit meeting!
So apparently there are some back-channel negotiations going on between Sullivan and his nearest Russian counterpart, Nokolai Patrushev. Meanwhile, both the Chinese and top Russians are reminding the Kremlin that there isn't an agreement that the USA hasn't broken sooner rather than later (just ask Native Americans!) and - knowing that- the Kremlin appears pretty skeptical of anything the USA might propose.
