THUGR posts about Putin so much, he must be in love.
But imo there are things that need to be looked at and hard-line policies made AHEAD of time. For example - what's the need for continued use of force when a person is in handcuffs? Why put a person prone while they're in handcuffs? And if the person is spitting while in handcuffs, after you apply a spit hood, what's the need for continued use of force? If you imagine that somehow a person is going to flee while in handcuffs can police be issued leg restraints? And how about calling in EMTs if a person seems irrational?
I think police are trained that the person must be ABSOLUTELY STILL AND QUIET for the situation to be considered 'under control'. Because - somehow - wiggling and mouthing-off and are a threat. But that claim's never been backed by any science that I know of.
Instead of continuing the let cops do 'whatever', there needs to be actual facts and actual policies regarding any use of force.

that Floyd was the best poster child the "community" could come up with ..to plaster his image everywhere, to loot, burn, injure others...that says all there really is to say about this larger "race" issue. We knew that Derek Chauvin was guilty—Floyd's murder was caught on film for the world to see. Chauvin knelt on Floyd's neck for more than nine minutes as Floyd cried out "I can't breathe," but even this was no guarantee that Chauvin would be held accountable. The American justice system is built on foundations of white supremacy and the protections the system offers cops who commit acts of violence against Black and brown people are extraordinary. Chauvin's own history in the Minneapolis Police Department proves that, as he had 18 complaints filed against him before he murdered George Floyd, but was allowed to continue on in his job because the system successfully shielded him from accountability time and time again.
It took extraordinary pressure from protesters in Minneapolis and across the country for nearly a year to earn even this small victory, and we need to recognize this as a victory for those activists—not a victory for the system. The system is still broken and we need to keep fighting to fix it.

There is no question that the number of police killings of civilians in the U.S. – who are disproportionately Black and other people of color – are the result of policies and practices that enable and even encourage police violence. Compared to police in other wealthy democracies, American police kill civilians at incredibly high rates:

Sounds like it's in line with the higher rate of violent crime here than other wealthy nations. This violence is almost exclusively in minority communities.

The history of police killing children in America
According to a study by researchers at the Children’s National Hospital, Black children are six times more likely to be fatally shot by police than white children.
A study published in 2014 showed that Black children are often perceived as older than their white counterparts of the same age. The study reported that police officers “overestimated the age of Black and Latino child crime suspects. White children, on the other hand, were not subjected to such overestimations.” An officer sees a nonwhite child as a threat capable of inflicting harm which seamlessly translates to a willingness to kill them. Black and brown children are being cheated of the protection that society should offer them because officers view them as adults.
The Chicago PD has killed more young people than any other local law enforcement agency in the country. The Columbus PD is a close second.
