Is this a terrorist plot?

2 days to clear the jam?

Cannot they add more water to the canal? Isn't this what the locks do? Add more water?

I don't get something. All of the images show the ship Evergreen. But the text always says it is the Ever Given.

What's up?

Evergreen is the global shipping company that owns the ship. Have you never seen Evergreen shipping containers? They're everywhere on trains and trucks.

Ever Given is the name of that specific ship.

Oh, despite the very Anglo-sounding name, Evergreen is Taiwanese.

Thanks for the clarification.

I've never seen Evergreen containers. I'm not in Taiwan, nor Moscow like you. :P

Living in Los Angeles as I do, I live in the same county as the of Ports Los Angeles and of Long Beach. And right next door to Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County is chock full of warehouses, and distribution and 'fulfillment' centers. I guess all that cheap near-desert expanse had to be good for something. So, yeah, the trains and freeways are chock-full of shipping containers going from the ports to the warehouses. But not at all going from industries to the ports. Shipping containers making those one-way trips from China to here are SO cheap and plentiful, people are trying to use them in construction, to build basements and homes.

Moscow has ports?

I remember when this site used to have people who could read a lot of languages in Asia

That old Taiwan guy that used to run a company, he died recently I wonder way back in the day was he fighting back, was he on the side that resisted the Japanese during WW2... or this old Taiwan man, was he working with the Imperial invaders of Taiwan? Seirai Temple Incident and a long peroid between 1895 and 1945 and this Asia Dracula looking dude in military uniform called Goto Shinpei

Which company is the Big Boss company

This Nikkei article is about the same shipper company
it mentions an investment in new tech would would help the ship outperform other major shipbuilding companies and says they will be working with Mitsu-bishi
...an old company which comes from a combined firm of two older family names in Japan... Mitsubishi Corp came from two old families linked to Shogunate people, an old bloodline from Edo period the Meiji Restoration old era family people. Mitsubishi is a well known global brand they made planes during WW2 today they make Cars, they do Chemicals, Electronics, Heavy Industries they built a private university in Tokyo, they own Libraries, they own Banks, they own Museums, they run overseas makers of Automobiles parts and car plants in Europe and N.America, they probably own most of the politicians in Japan....the shipping company and these big old Japan Corps seem close. There might be also a big company near a castle in Ozu-shi or Ozu city.

http://www.nikkei.com/article/DGXNASDD280JX_Y2A520C1TJ2000/

Looking at media I'm led to believe the ship company is from the Japan island of Shikoku, the island in Japanese literally "four provinces". Where's the ship from? the port is on the smaller of the Japan islands and faces the city of Hiroshima on the Japanese mainland, 'Imabari' is the city

The wiki article says since Masao Higaki became the representative in 1959, the 'Hinoki' family has been the owner company, Toshiyuki Higaki and Kazuyuki Higaki are names mentioned ...they are probably old Zaibatsu and Daimyo old elite people. Old Asia much like Old Europe and America had old money people, old Money families, old Mafias, old Italians old Jewish Bankers, old elite socialist bourgeoisie, old Royal British and French Royalty ...the Japanese themselves have their own old elite, these old Japan family have their own old family people that link to old Warlords and Weapons makers and Landlord, and Samurai, the older family of Japan have hidden money going back going back hundreds of years.
The shipping company could be Japan's biggest and it links to just about every construction company, every merchant, every electronic manufacturer, every other politician every other University and every other Sales company in Japan.
There was a big shipping theme park project in a place called Marugame, Kagawa and some weird donald-duck mickey-mouse style park called Reoma World
Media reports The dudes name that fucked up is Shoei Kisen?,

Kisen is the guys name? the word Ki literally means energy or air
but 'Kisen' ki-sen also means steamer or Steam-Boat ...is the family name the same as 'Steam Boat'?
...or Shoei Kisen Kaisha might be a smaller sub company leasing subsidiary connected to a larger company?

Names? when reading Japanese anything called maru isnt really a name ? you would typically ignore because Maru is just a ship-naming convention for a 'Craft' a round boat or a 'Vessel'...Some of these ships seem to change flags and names constantly one day its Liberia, Japan, Egypt, Taiwan, Spain, Fiji, Jamaica, Marshall islands, Cayman Islands, Panama ...new port, new country, new name new flag....forget about the old problems we got a new name now.

The current ship company underneath the larger Corp might be operated by Taiwanese container

This old man in his younger days did he work for the side that resisted or did he work with bad guys? Did he work on the side who fought against an Empire or did he work with the invaders... this time is long ago during a Great War.
Why is this Important? because this old man only died recently, the real boss might have always been part of an older Tokyo Empire.

Who knows what fun they were up to....doing a paint job on the side and changing the name from Ever Given to Ever Green, then switch papers and change of flag
What I read is the ship is called Ever Given and it was one of many ships in the 'Evergreen' fleet

Evergreen Marine is Taiwanese cargo
There is a Germany link through some manager ship company, this is not the first time the ship has crashed into something.
It hit a Ferry boat https://www.fleetmon.com/maritime-news/2019/25161/gentle-touch-giant-m

/ ,

The Blankenese jetty was loudly smashed. The freighter "Ever Given" collided with the "Finkenwerder", a total write off smashed up damage, totally wrecked reported. There is a suggestion that Bad Wind caused the crash – and only chance prevented a major accident.

„ EVER GIVEN “

The big guy on top is a Japanese name but I mean you follow the links and these guys probably tie into everything the Euro elite, the Philippines elites, the Japan elite, Mi6, the KGB, Major Retail stores, Major Car, Heavy Machinery and Motor companies, the French military, the Italian mafia, the Korea mafia you name it some other company ties into them some other freaks get into bed with them...its a company, that gets set up and connected to other companies, they send stuff around the globe, they get things done and shipped
Also other names like an Ever Gentle, Ever Govern, an Ever Gleamy, Ever Greetings an Ever Genius. You also have the Ever Goods, Ever Gaining, and the 'Ever Giant' and Ever Golden. All of these ships may have been built and delivered first in Japan during the years 2018-2019. I'm not sure if these are all the same company under the larger Japanese company. There are lots of sites that track tehse ships. If you put any ship into Marine 24 hr traffic website you can track where a ship is going and maybe look at its history.

The bigger shipper should be known, but the smaller companies that open and close and go bust and open up again?

I would say you're looking at a conglomerate of shipping companies, a multi-industry company the big mix a combination of multiple business entities but at the Top there will be one Giant Corp, I think that's the shipping place in Japan. In 2006, the main political party of Taiwan Kuomintang sold its former headquarters to Evergreen Group for $2.3 billion New Taiwan dollars (96 million United States dollars). In 2010, Evergreen Group announced that it would buy from Samsung Heavy Industries, a South Korea link. EverGreen also links with UNI Air one the main Airlines under the Taiwan government.
