SLOPPY doesn't realize that we know that people are poor BECAUSE other people are rich. SLOPPY didn't make its money by work. SLOPPY made its money by having other people do the work and not paying them the full value that they produced. It's called profit. It's how the rich get rich, and the poor are made poor.

As far as I know, the following two things are true:
1) Democrats don't have the votes to break a Republican filibuster.
2) Democrats don't have the votes to eliminate the filibuster.
Biden has zero chance of passing a huge spending bill that includes huge tax increases. He has zero chance of passing a huge new voting law. He has zero chance of passing anything. And yet the conversation surrounding these bills continues to have a sort of fairy-land tone that, hey, maybe Biden can negotiate with good-for-nothing Republicans to get some of this stuff passed.

If Biden* gets nothing else gets passed, it means democracy is working. And that's a good thing. Nothing SHOULD get passed based on 50% of the people.
And by the numbers, the US population is divided about 50/50. The Senate is divided 50/50. The House is divided about 50/50.
Stalemate is a fair democratic outcome here.
